SSVegeta123243 1
i think as the secretary of state he should continue to do his job (which he is doing) he may not agree with bush but that doesn't mean he needs to blast him everyday
Swing Voter 1
Not every day but once in a while would do. Doing his job? Our alliances are in taters and he is the least travled secratary of stae since the 1800's!
SSVegeta123243 1
it's hard for any secretary of state to keep up alliances with a president like bush
Swing Voter 1
True, but he could at least try.
SSVegeta123243 1
and who says he isn't trying
Swing Voter 1
If he tried, he would not lie in front of the UN, if he tried he might leave DC.
SSVegeta123243 1
1) i don't think he thought he was lying i think he thought he was speaking the truth 2) u think he should just quit
Swing Voter 1
YES I do, you need to show charactor and an ability to stand up for what you think is right.
SSVegeta123243 1
so he would show character by just giving up and walking away
Swing Voter 1
By standing up to George Bush, yes he would.
SSVegeta123243 1
ok so your saying powell would show more honor by quitting and walking away over trying to help the country
Swing Voter 1
He is helping the country how? He sits at his desk, hasn't had a conversation with the French or German foreign Minister in over a year, and has stayed silent on Iraq.
SSVegeta123243 1
oh ya thats powell he just sits at his desk and does nothing
Swing Voter 1
Not nothing, he talks with tha ambasador to Iraq, a Nixon era crook. He talks with British cabinte officials, already in our pocket. And he tries to keep the ever important Poland in our Great Colalition by promising unneed aid. And once again he helps how?
SSVegeta123243 1
so he should talk with iraq (the country in question) and britian (our best and some say only true ally) and i thought u didn't like powell because he didn't walk away now u don;t like him because he is lazy
Swing Voter 1
I can dislike him for more than one reason And the Iraq ambasador not Iraqi leaders. And why can't his DOS talk with Britains functionaries, hmmm. He needs to focus on the problems that need the most help, like getting a real colalition in Iraq, and restoring some credibility to the UN, and trying to help Darfur would be better than issueing weak proclamations. SSVegeta123243 1
just like brain billick and denny green how much blame do u put on the head coach (bush)
Swing Voter 1
A lot, but Green was their, not playing Nintendo. Green ran his team and Bush gave Powell a whole lot of power, it's time for Powell to use it or lose it.
SSVegeta123243 1
so it's powell's fault we are running out of allies and the world hates us
Swing Voter 1
Partialy yes, if he worked with them instead of ignoring their calls we might still have a few more allies. And visiting would not hurt.
SSVegeta123243 1
so i guess u were in his office and know he just didn't answer the world that was just reaching out to help us
Swing Voter 1
so i guess u were in his office and know he just didn't answer the world that was just reaching out to help us No but he could reach out to them, good night!
