Appel4PM 2
I think I did quite well. Paul Martin didn't win his seat, Lucien Bouchard lost his seat. The NDP won St-Maurice and Laurier And the Reform won Edmonton-Strathcona and Yellowhead. Yep, Dave...Preston beat Joe Clark. I may have changed history!
simonvallee 0
You sure the game is balanced?
HabsFan21 4
I think you REALLY overdid Broadbent...
Hardrightconservative 5
Yeah Broadbent was a good politician but certainly not that amazing. Good to see that Preston beat Joe Clark! That made my day!
Hardrightconservative 5
Preston was still wearing his big glasses at this time.
HabsFan21 4
Blame that on me, I got the pictures for the leaders...I forgot about Preston's glasses, thoguh I don't think it's much of a deal. Anyway, I made an endorsement file, and am working on a events one.

HabsFan21 4
See the thread in the "Scenario Creation" forum, I need a little help for the endorsements...Thanks!
Craig 0
Hehe, a few years ago I used to wear big glasses like Preston's.
Hardrightconservative 5
The glasses are a big deal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah Tony I tend to agree. Didn't they play into his image problem?
HabsFan21 4
Hmm....OK, I'll look for a good one with glasses. I just think, and I'm saying this VERY heterosexually, that he looks 10X better without them.
TonyJones 0
Bring back the glasses Preston... it was him abandoning his western roots!
Craig 0
Here's a pretty good one of him wearing his glasses: I'm not sure when it was taken, but it at least has him wearing his glasses.
HabsFan21 4
OK, guys, here's 3 more... The one Dave uses, cropped a tad: One of him with glasses, in (Superhero voice) PARLIAMENT ACTION! And, my personal favourite, one of him with a non-glasses activity. (Kudos to him on the Canadian football)
TonyJones 0
The glasses must be bigger and thicker to reflect the full-Preston effect! This issue I am militant on!
HabsFan21 4
Well, I'll let the Reformistas make the call...Hell, I didn't find out his real middle name till I was 15...I always thought it was Judas (Thanks, Dad!)
Appel4PM 2
I think you REALLY overdid Broadbent... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not at all. Yeah, I gave him some more money, but the stats weren't all that unusual. Mulroney had much more experience than Ed, and Turner had more issue familiarity than him. Never doubt the power of a series of negative ads, though!

HabsFan21 4
Using Leadership+Stamina+Charisma+Integrity+Debating+Issue familiarity+Expierience... Turner: 22 Mulroney: 25 Broadbent: 27 Broadbent was more likeable then Mulroney, but not more electable.
Appel4PM 2
I think, in my next game, I may play Preston, just for a change!

All I did was run lots of anti-Mulroney negative ads. He fell like a stone.
HabsFan21 4
Now, being more exact.... Leadership: Turner-3 Mulroney-4 Broadbent-4 Broadbent should be a 3...he almost had a western rebellion in the 80's. Integrity: Turner-3 Mulroney-2 Broadbent-5 Broadbent isn't perfect, but he is better then Turner, so I think he should be a 4 Experience: Turner-4 Mulroney-4 Broadbent-4 Broadbent should be a 3...the other two were PM's. Issues: Turner-3 Mulroney-3 Broadbent-4 All three were about equal there, I'd bump Eddy down one to a 3. Charisma: Turner-3 Mulroney-4 Broadbent-4 Turner should be a two, Mulroney should be a 3(He could work the media, but he grated a lot of people too), and Broadbent should remain a 4. Stamina is cool.... Debating: Turner-3 Mulroney-4 Broadbent-3 Turner should be a two. He made people cringe when he debated. To be frank, he just sucked. There's my two cents...oh, and Manning should be a 3 on Charisma.
