HAHAHA the disparity between the first and second is almost comical.

There should be Agricultural, depending on how bad the "famine" to come this fall turns out to be.

Hmmm ... any specific line of thought re Agricultural? Here in Canada, the government's trying to cut farms' use of certain fertilizers in the name of 'fighting climate change'.

Like how the Farmers may start doing what Dutch farmers have been doing? I don't really know myself.

Ya, it's similar to what's happening in the Netherlands. I don't think this is really on the radar in the States yet, though - is it?

While I do like the idea of doing agriculture as an issue, I think it would be prudent to wait and see what develops of the possible famine. For example in Minnesota there was a big debate in debates in 2020 in a lot of state races about a bill that changed Who could and could not process meats from hunters.  Maybe the issue of agriculture could be more geared towards. For example planting what they want versus what they can use to grow and plant.

I agree fully. I think a lot of issues should be added as time goes on-as we're not even to post-primary season, no matter how it may feel. NH Primary (I believe) is the last one for the country, and either NH01 or 02 is heavily favored to be close.

  • 3 weeks later...

'Violent crime' will have 2 major sub-issues. The first is mass shootings. The second is more general violent crime, in particular in urban centres.

Violent crime -> 1. mass shootings, 2. general violent crime

For 1., there are 3 major aspects. a) Gun control. b) 2nd Amendment. c) Role of pharmaceuticals.

Left is pro-gun control, down-plays relevance of 2nd Amendment, downplays role of pharmaceuticals.

Right is anti-gun control, up-plays relevance of 2nd Amendment, up-plays role of pharmaceuticals.

For 2., you can bring in another major aspect, which is law enforcement (Left pro-lenient, Right pro-incarceration).

Abortion has changed significantly from 2020. Here is the current revised issue positions.

  • FL We're living in the Handmaid's Tale! Civil disobedience until restoration of abortion rights!
  • L Dobbs was a judicial coup! Expand the Supreme Court to overrule Dobbs. Federal legislation to protect abortion at all times. Democratic-led states must use any means necessary to protect state-based abortion rights.
  • CL Explore expanding the Supreme Court with Democratic picks. Federal legislation to protect abortion rights. Executive action to protect seeking an abortion in another state.
  • C Allow states to decide, except federal legislation to protect abortion rights in the first trimester, executive protection of women who's lives are in danger, and protect seeking an abortion in another state.
  • CR State by state, but allow abortions in cases of rape, incest, or life of the mother. Ban late term abortions. Defund Planned Parenthood.
  • R States should only allow abortion in cases where the mother's life is at risk. Leave it up to the states, except national legislation to ban abortion after first trimester. Defund Planned Parenthood.
  • FR Abortion is murder! Dobbs doesn't go nearly far enough. Total national ban on abortions including rape and incest. Planned Parenthood should be shut down completely.

Covid-19 has changed significantly from 2020 as well. Here are the current new issue positions.

  • FL If another virus strikes, let it expose the Achille's Heel in capitalism! That will be our opportunity to launch a glorious Socialist revolution!
  • L Do what top public health authorities tell us to do to save lives. Mandate boosters, and masks and lock-down measures in hot-spots going forward.
  • CL Lock-downs and vaccine mandates were important tools to reduce mortality rates. Enact controls in hot-spots going forward, use masks, and strongly encourage or mandate boosters.
  • C States tended to overreach in lock-downs. Keep schools open and don't worry too much about 'variants' due to widespread vaccination and natural immunity. Encourage boosters, especially for the elderly, but don't mandate them.
  • CR Lock-downs caused significant net-harm, major aspects of which we are just now starting to see. If such a situation happens again, follow a more targeted approach and keep schools open. Masks should be optional. No mandates for vaccines.
  • R We must never allow this to happen again in a free society. No more lock-downs or masks. Repeal all employment mandates and rehire those who were fired for not complying. Vaccines have significant side-effects and Big Pharma must be reined in.
  • FR Covid-19 was just the first step by the WEF and Gates Foundation. Prepare for more man-made viruses to be released or sterilization through 'booster' injections. We must completely destroy the international cabal before they can enact their population reduction plan.

New Trump Support issue positions.

  • FL It's not just Trump and his supporters - the whole Republican party is fascist. Outlaw the entire party and bring in one-party Communist rule!
  • L Trump should be jailed for his role in Jan. 6th and his removal of classified documents. His supporters are fascists who should also be jailed.
  • CL The FBI raid was justified - Trump probably should be indicted for his removal of classified documents. His role on Jan. 6th was criminal and he should be barred from running again for office. His supporters are semi-fascists.
  • C Trump's supporters are mostly good people, but it's time for the Republican party to move to new leadership. Trump exercised bad judgment on Jan. 6th, and perhaps did something illegal which led to the FBI raid on his home.
  • CR Trump is the de facto party leader, and should be supported. The FBI raid was almost certainly politicized and irresponsible. Trump made some errors of judgment on Jan. 6th, but wanted a peaceful protest.
  • R Trump for President and MAGA 2024! We need to break up the FBI for its egregious raid of the leader of the political opposition's home. Trump urged supporters on Jan. 6th to be peaceful, it was feds and agent provocateurs who urged on and started the riot - they should be jailed.
  • FR Trump was a good start, but doesn't go far enough! Time for a real dictator!
