Something I've noticed - neither of them are particularly good at contextualizing. They both tend to make references to things without really explaining what they're talking about, in a way that may m

Yeah your rose colored glasses are showing. Dont think I didnt notice how you went completely silent while Bidens dominant streak during the health care portion was happening.

Yes she definitively was a good moderator, she was very neutral and gave them a good time to reply.

Is it just me or were the 2016 debates way more entertaining?

I thought so. I still think Clinton was a decent debater. I seem to be in the minority on that one though lol

It's an interesting point

The USA is not the only country where debates got dumber

Actually in France we saw the same and it started in 2012 with Hollande v Sarkozy

The 2017 Marine le Pen v Macron debate was just a disaster and the worst debate we ever got.

So I guess that the shape of the debates is a reflect of the shape of our politics.

I agree ! She is a very good debater

It's more her personnality which played against her than her debatting skills

Not really, they've been shockingly the same.

Since I saw the quote, I saw what @PoliticalPundit I said. There is no user on this forum more biased than this person. Almost everything he says is in bad faith or antagonistic. This is why I blocked him. I wish I had quotes from him blocked. It would make life much more enjoyable on this forum, since I don’t like people that are a waste of my time. @admin_270 is there any way to block quotes from @PoliticalPundit when other people quote him. I want to go on this forum as if this person doesn’t exist. I don’t like anything about him. Personally or ideologically. I’d say intellectually, but that wouldn’t apply to him.   Can I erase him completely from any post I see? I don’t want to go on any further tirades, but I can’t stand this user. I’ve blocked him so I don’t violate your rules @admin_270 but I will freely violate them out of principle if I keep seeing them. I don’t see the point of blocking people when I keep seeing the person’s posts via quotes!

They were more substantive but not more entertaining, in my opinion.

I like it when Biden talks directly to the people. He’s doing better now in this debate.

He is recovering in the health care bit. Its like he knows public polling is with him.

Trump is losing

Yeah, he is now. He was exceeding expectations earlier.

Is it strange that now as Biden speaks more on health care the better he is doing? Usually it's the opposite.

"He's confused, he thinks he's running against Bernie Sanders, I'm J o e B i d e n"

Excellent

Personally my response is "Hell yes, we beat Socialism in the primary and we'll beat Fascism in the general"

I’m not sure why anyone sees it as a Socialism and not-socialism argument. Our country is a blend of both and always will be. Also, had Sanders won, he probably would have been blocked in almost everyone corner. I also think the Constitution makes the fascism argument null and void. I do think he’d want to be one if he could.

Is this debate any good? I took a nap, so I'll watch it when I have my inevitable insomnia.

Boring but no interrupting
