Yeah. Regardless of his personal feelings, he should've kept this quiet. Fauci is trusted by over 2/3 of the American public, and attacking him (a non-partisan official) is not going to help in his re-election. This is ammo Biden can use at the debate if he so decides.

Can't read Billay's post since he's blocked, but in response to your comment -- Trump is routinely speaking against popular people or stances. It's odd that Trump supporters don't seem to trust that Trump is way behind right now. It's such a simple remedy. He just needs to keep quiet. A quiet Trump would probably see a 2% growth in the polls.

Had Trump reacted to Covid-19 earlier, and we were like in the top 10% of countries that reacted to it, would he be looking at an easy election victory?

Internally yes, but according to the media no. The media had always found something to criticize about his handling.

I do agree with Trump that people are over Covid-19.

That said, people are over Trump as well.

I'm sure people in Medieval Europe were "over," the Bubonic Plague before it stopped being of pandemic calibre, too. In both cases, people's feelings are irrelevant. These pandemics aren't going to be wished away magically, no matter how many people join the wishing circle.

That's how journalists do things in general. You, and some others, constantly scream bias (even though freedom of the press protects such a bias, in any case), but before Trump, and in areas, countries, and with leaders where Trump's not an issue, journalists scathe tonnes of people right across the board.
