Actinguy 862
If this is the “October surprise”, my confidence level moves from 50/50 to 100%. This is literally nothing.

Thy NYP says the laptop was left at the shop in April and seized in December. That means the hard drive was copied before it became the shop owners property. It's also likely that the contents of the hard drive is intangible personal property, which is specifically exempted from being considered abandoned. If this is real, the shopkeeper is in for some serious legal problems.

ThePotatoWalrus 471
I knew a guy who stole $500 from his best friend to buy crack. Good dude (not). Lives in the woods now.
billay 163
This was bigger news in Janauary which hurt Biden a little bit at the time but then backfired and got Trump impeached. Again had Trump taken leadership over COVID and used his message of protectionism against China which was attractive to many swing voters in the Rust Belt, He could have hammered Biden on his comfy positions with China and rolled out some phoney scandal around this time and won votes. In short this is a nothing burger.
billay 163
But I do hope that all this nastiness which probably has some truth leads the new administration to investigate the Trump Organization and Kushner. There is no way laws haven't been violated by them.
PoliticalPundit 285
Biden's son isn't in the public eye. even if this happened to don jr. I don't think it affects voters at all in their mindset. maybe if it was a wife or something but even then doubtful. trump will be making a huge mistake focusing on this too much at the 3rd debate. no one cares mr. president
jvikings1 40
The reactions to these story (especially from Twitter and Facebook) might overtake the actual story (whether true or not). It's not a good look for Biden coming down the stretch regardless. Whether that changes anything will have to be seen.
Conservative Elector 2 333
Interfering in an election by suppressing links to news reports is a shame. People need to get educated in a proper way.
