You're information is highly outdated. Judicial Constitutional Review has become close the norm among sovereign nations in the world.

Most of those outside Central America have a separate court that determines constitutionality, like the German Bundesverfassungsgericht.

Again, outdated information. The Supreme Court of Canada, which is also the court of final appeals like the Supreme Court of the United States, has been performing Constitutional Review since the 1960's - and we aren't in Central America. Many other Commonwealth judicial systems have similar schemes today. Please, if you're going to speak as though you have authority and education on a topic - please make sure you do, lest you make a fool of yourself.

Collins is a no.

Collins said she's against nominating someone before the election. Doesn't that mean she could still vote yes on a qualified justice, if said justice is put forward? That's not her decision so she wouldn't break her commitment by voting for someone she didn't put forward.

Good job finding a technicality.

It's what the GOP does best.

Yeah, when I saw Collins' statement I immediately thought she was putting it that way to have a loophole, so she can still vote to confirm the justice in the end.

Senator Mitt Romney will support moving forward to fill the Supreme Court seat left open by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, all but assuring that Trump has the votes he needs for an election-season confirmation to cement a conservative majority on the high court.
