Political Issues Either/Or Poll

  1. 1. In most cases I side with the issue on the left over the issue on the right. [I know it might be hard, but you must pick a side.]

    • Civil Rights over Civil Liberties
    • Labor Rights over Corporate Rights
    • Free Trade over Protectionism
    • Main Street over Wall Street
    • Globalism over Nationalism
    • Military non-interventionism over Military interventionism
    • Lenient immigration over strict immigration
    • Lenient drug laws over strict drug laws (War on Drugs)
    • Business regulations over business deregulations
    • Alternate energy over Oil & Gas
    • Small farmers over Corporate Farmers
    • universal healthcare over free market healthcare
    • Strict gun laws over lenient gun laws
    • Lenient abortion laws over strict abortion laws
    • Secular education over religious education
    • Public schools/universities over private schools/universities
    • Popular Vote over Electoral College
    • Wealth Tax over no-Wealth Tax
    • Pro-Science policies over Science-skeptic policies
    • Futurism over Traditionalism
    • I side entirely with the right side options.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

In that order.

"Give me liberty or give me death," Patrick Henry, in a translation from the previous original Greek version of the anti-Ottoman Cretan Patriot battle-cry of 1765. :P

"Better to die on my feet than live on my knees," Che Gueverra, almost perfectly paraphrasing Henry and the Greek Patriots.

And, does Izzard ask how good the cake even is?

He doesn't -- he imitates multiple people being forced to choose, and all of them quickly choosing cake, and the British soldier being miffed that this isn't going the way he planned.

One of his characters accidentally chooses death but then recognizes his mistake and corrects his choice to cake, much to the soldier's disappointment.

To me they're so wrapped up together, that you can't have one without all three.

You have to choose.  It’s an either/or/or poll.

Happiness then

Happiness in a sugar-coated, polite, family-friendly, tyrannical dystopia like in "Demolition Man."
