js29095 0
Quote Nixon is running for a 4th term as President of Earth, however, time-travelling Chris Travers runs as the Thundercrat nominee to avoid the Robot Uprising of 3028. Can Travers win the presidency or will Nixon usher in a horrible future? Thundercrat Nominees Sen. Chris Travers Mr. Unknown Greenland Mr. Darcy Richardson. Rep. J. J. Evans Rep. Randall Terry Gov. Sarah Palin (Basically names to the Allusions to the crowded field of candidates seen at the interview with Morbo) Plun-Darrcan Nominees President Richard Nixon Vice President Spiro Agnew I also have two third parties The Feministas with Turanga Leela and Al Gore, and the Beer Party with Bender Rodriguez. Ideas for more third parties(because why not) and a few more issues would be appreciated. Earth - 3012.zip

js29095 0
Travers, while being a Senator from Hawaii is from Kenya, and there's also Mr. Greenland. But considering that most of the show takes place in New New York, most of the candidates would be American... though I think Al Gore may be from Japan(i.e. Tokyo)
darkmoon72 2
I am quite a big fan of Futurama (especially seasons 1-4) and this idea in general. Don't forget the two clone candidates, Jack Johnson and John Jackson, of the Tastycrat and Fingerlican parties. I know they technically ran in the 3000 election, but it would be nice to have them back, maybe turned off by default. I get the feeling @Patine would appreciate this, the ultimate "both major parties & candidates are exactly the same" commentary that the show offered. Also to @Patine's point about US candidates, I have some suggestions there. Bender is from Mexico, and thus would technically be a non-US candidate. Maybe the sewer mutants should have their own constituency? In the show, they are separated from the surface world and have their own society. If that's the case, Leela should come from this new constituency. I think Gore was "First Emperor of the Moon", but I don't remember the show ever saying he lived outside the US. You could also throw in Hermes Conrad as a candidate. He's from Jamaica. Or Barbados Slim - although the show never specifies where he's from, I assume it's Barbados. If you wanted to toss in a religious leader, there's Father Changstein El-Gamal. If he's from outside the US, it would likely be China, Israel or an Arabic-speaking country. js29095 0
V 1.1 is live, including a re-balance of the dominant parties, added the Jackson/Johnson clones, and some minor tweaks to the others. Primaries are not a good idea and I will be adding the 3000("A Head in The Polls") election parties. Expect the next release to have major map changes. Earth - 3012 v.1.1.zip 2.89 MB · 3 downloads Thanks for the update. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time winning this scenario as Travers, but for some reason I just can't do it - I can only get around 48% of the vote. Maybe I'm just not very good at these games, but I don't have this much trouble with other scenarios. Since Travers won in the show, I feel this should be a little easier to win playing as him. A few notes: -Neither candidate has a running mate (not sure who Travers's would be, since the show never explored this - maybe Jackson - but Nixon's would definitely be the Headless Clone of Spiro Agnew) -Travers's name is misspelled "Travis" in the event "Chris Zaxxar Travis Alien?" -Travers's first name is misspelled in his description as "Chirs" -Even though Travers was born in Kenya, he's a senator from Hawai'i, and should be from the United States (or Hawai'i itself, given that the show refers to it as a "nation-state"), not Kenya -Nixon's Integrity should be a 1, and I'm not sure why his Leadership is a 5 -It seems like Travers would have better numbers in both Charisma and Debating than Nixon, but they're both equal at 3 -I like that you changed it to "God Entity", although I do have to turn the "Watcher" candidates off, as the computer-controlled "God Entity" can and does attack Travers, seemingly more so than it goes after Nixon -The only events that happen are pretty damaging for Travers, and his own birth doesn't seem to help him very much. I always start out slightly ahead of Nixon, but once he gets ahead in the polls, he never gives up his lead.
darkmoon72 2
As for issues, I thought of a couple of updates you could make to make the issues more Futurama-ish. -Immigration could be changed to something like "Space Alien Immigration", Nixon's position should be Right or Far-Right (instead of Center-Right), and the right-wing positions on immigration should involve the "Really big Dyson fence" on the southern border of Earth's solar system -Taxes could be called "Taxes & Poverty", and Nixon's position in the show was to "cut taxes for the rich, and use the poor as a cheap source of teeth for aquarium gravel"

I thank you for the errors given, and the update I have pending does have Hawaii as its own nation state as well as a few others referenced in the show. I chose Kenya originally because he was born there in 3012, and he will be moved to Hawaii in v. 1.3. I also had the God Entity on since I actually use that with one click to human instead of just two, but I will rectify that I've turned VPs off since the show never acknowledged them, but If you have suggestions for VEEPs for the others I will be glad to hear it. Thank you for the suggestions.

darkmoon72 2
I was finally able to win a narrow landslide as Senator...Senator...what was his name again? The balance is much better this time around. Still tough, but winnable, as I feel it should be. The race was truly up in the air right until the end. I was 1.3% ahead of Nixon on Election Day, but he was slightly ahead in Momentum (+2.9 to +1.6). I jumped ahead in the polls the week after Travers's birth, and Nixon and I traded narrow leads in the polls the last 2 weeks of the election. I won (sometimes narrowly) every region I targeted except the PRC (36.9%), Russia (47.3%) and Thailand (47.8%). I didn't bother with issues in my Theme, instead keeping it all about Leadership, Integrity and Experience - I probably could've increased my margin of victory if I had switched Experience for Health Care or Space Alien Immigration. I'll try that next time I play through. More notes: -I love that Skyrim really does look like Skyrim -There's still a "Chris Zaxxar Travers Alien?" event that happens on October 30th that seems like it should be removed -Nixon's Experience is now a 3, and I'm not sure why - I was totally on board with his Experience being a 5, in the Futurama universe he's been President of Earth for 12 years already (not to mention his real-life government experience) - although I do like that you changed his Leadership, Debating, Charisma and Integrity -I found myself laughing when I read your updates to the Issues -Very happy you included Old New York -"Lrrr" is misspelled as "Lrr" when I read the Far-Left position on the Omicron Persei 8 issue -I like that you changed the map from the Robinson projection to the Mercator projection, makes it easier for me to see the regions -If possible, it would be neat to include Channel √2 News (not sure if the game allows the root symbol, but you could always call it "Channel Root 2 News" if not) and Facebag -I appreciate the attention to detail in including regions and parties that were barely visible in the background for only a few seconds -If and when you get around to it, some additional regions come to mind - Shreveport, Uruguay, Kentucky, Tomorrowland, and the Republic of Yesterday -I haven't tried playing through the primaries yet, but "Nixon Offers Free Beer!" should be an event early on, assuming you haven't already included it -A couple endorsers you could add would be Mayor C. Randall Poopenmeyer of New New York, and the Queen of Yonkers. They're both sitting behind Nixon in the beginning when he is giving his speech, although the Mayor doesn't look happy to be there -I wonder if it's possible to change the Election Night ticker to say "Nixon Always Wins!" Finally, just a few random thoughts I had about the episode that didn't make sense to me, completely separate from your excellent scenario: -The time travel code Travers used to go back in time was established earlier in Futurama as being able to circumvent time paradoxes, meaning he would've been fine at the end -The show misspells Ruth Bader Ginsburg's last name as "Ginsberg" -How did Travers know the robots showed up just after he went back in time in 3028? He wasn't there to see it, and nobody could've told him -Why did Travers need to take Earth's last suit and tie with him, if he's going back to a time period when there are plenty of suits and ties he could obtain? -When President-elect Travers glitches out of existence, shouldn't he be replaced by one of the other candidates for the nomination, like Mr. Greenland? Instead Nixon wins unopposed. Excellent work, this scenario keeps getting better and better.

I don't see these as serious problems, as it's clear from the first episode Futurama will set aside continuity and logic for the sake of humor.
