MBDemSoc
I'll be working on the HOR elections from 1788 to 2018 very soon using assets from the Historical Scenario Commission Presidential Election series (credit will be given for those assets and to anyone who wants to give hand on this project) starting with 1788 to 1789 and the rest of the Presidential Election year Congressional Elections, will then go back and fill in the midterms. Parties in the 1788 to 1789 elections will be the Pro-Administration Party, the Anti-Administration Party, Independents and a Party for observing. I already have a very good start on 1854 - it just somewhat trailed off while writing issues.

Very excited for this, hope CI doesn't give you too much trouble! Speaking of elections, how'd you do in the local's a few days ago? I remember you were a candidate. I lost badly but the result percentage-wise was in line with other candidates of the same party in the same ward.

I think @NYrepublican had a workaround of some sort, but I don't believe I've yet tested it.

Patine
1 hour ago, MBDemSoc said: 1788 Alpha/Beta nearly done. Oh, I meant to ask. How do you plan to work the pre-nomination electoral system (that is, for the whole First Party System, most electoral offices didn't have "solid" nominations for each party for them - they only started for President and Vice President because of the 12th Amendment and even then, that broke down in 1824)? In that age, there were often more than one Pro-Administration/Federalist candidate and/or more than one Anti-Administration/Anti-Federalist/Democratic-Republican candidate running in the same Congressional District, with those under the same party label running against each other as much as those under the other party's label. MBDemSoc
Multiple seat at large districts will be split into single-seat districts, seats in which there are more than one Anti-Admin, Pro-Admin or Independent candidates in one seat the vote percentages for the candidates of the same party will be combined together, I might list the candidates for the combined totals as for example in Virginia's 5th District James Madison OR James Monroe. MBDemSoc
House of Representatives 1788 and 1789 Alpha/Beta (Only leader descriptions and stats, surrogate stats and for some reason election night doesn't end if anyone could fix these issues or even just the election night not ending thing I would be grateful). TheLiberalKitten
The scenario looks really good. Perhaps for the stats I would base then on a leader of each party, for ex. Thomas Jefferson etc. The election bug is really weird and I couldn't figure out what was causing it.

RI Democrat
Where are you finding data on candidates and results? It seems hard to come by for a lot of the older congressional elections.

Multiple different websites, the Wikipedia articles mostly, for ones without vote numbers I just put in 1000 voters, other websites include https://www.ourcampaigns.com/, https://elections.lib.tufts.edu/, http://earlyamericanelections.org/ etc.
