U.S. numbered electoral districts are so unevocative as to just where in a given State they actually are geographically, and are have a cold and impersonal style. My district(SC-01) could be named either: Beaufort and Charleston County, or "South Carolina Lowcountry". Seems more personal than a number assigned to a region. That said, it is difficult to name districts that are heavily gerrymandered( think of the districts in south Texas, or the districts in Maryland) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
