vcczar
@NYrepublican Thanks. I added these surrogates, and then created them with all the other information under their respective party leaders. Here's some more surrogates that would be helpful for the scenario: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Randolph_Churchill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Wellesley,_3rd_Duke_of_Wellington https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_White_Ridley,_1st_Viscount_Ridley https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_George_Hamilton https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Stanhope https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Stanley,_16th_Earl_of_Derby https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Balfour https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spencer_Horatio_Walpole https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Henry_Lennox https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Campbell,_9th_Duke_of_Argyll https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Rothschild,_1st_Baron_Rothschild https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Campbell-Bannerman https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Robert_Peel,_3rd_Baronet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Peel,_1st_Viscount_Peel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Childers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Harcourt_(politician)

A couple of others could be justified as we well. Any suggestions on the stances. I'm working on these now. You may know more about these than I do, but I can research it if you don't know stances off the top of your head.

vcczar
@NYrepublican I've uploaded the photos and created the surrogates. Looking good. I need a different picture for Henry Wellesley though. You created the image of his wife. I need the fat bearded guy on the right: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Wellesley,_3rd_Duke_of_Wellington And if you can add this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Biggar Lastly, if you can find a photo for Irish Home Rule League politician William Shaw. If you can't, maybe insert find a silhouette or Irish avatar or something that could stand for his image. I didn't have any luck finding an image for him. This will probably wrap up the surrogate photos.

You did make sure that no member of the Royal Family is an endorser, right? I'm pretty sure they were abstaining from direct political participation even back then. I believe that George IV was the last British monarch to significantly meddle in Parliamentary affairs himself. Victoria showed a visible, public disdain for Gladstone, but it didn't seem to noticeably affect election results, and she never refused to offer him the opportunity to form a government when he commanded the confidence of Parliament. No royal endorsers. I made all the notable MP/politician endorsers into surrogates, rather than endorsers. Only newspapers endorse.

Do you need issue icons? @vcczar But to elaborate, the rest of what needs to be done are relatively small things, but tedious things. For instance, I have to go back over every seat and input who the incumbent is. I also just discovered that there's a place to put the names of all the MPs competing in the election. So I have to place every name in. I need to finish putting stances on the issues that Patine sent me. One or two of these issues might change if I can't find enough information for them to be relevant. I need to add events for January and February 1874 (This election is only 24 days!). vcczar
Update: I have to go through all 400+ MP seats and set the incumbent party and type in the names of all the candidates. As this is tedious and draining, I'll probably due one letter per day, unless someone else would like to do this for me. Secondly, if people are eager for the Conclave Infinity, I can give detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to create it. I say this, because I doubt I'll finish this 1874 scenario in less than a month. @NYrepublican maybe?

vcczar
10 minutes ago, MBDemSoc said: Yes. Thanks! 1. Download the attached file. Unzip it into your user scenarios. 2. Open 1874 in the editor. 3. Go to regions. You should be able to type in the region name and it will come up (make sure the left side says United Kingdom when searching). 4. Use this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MPs_elected_in_the_United_Kingdom_general_election,_1874 5. To find the candidates, click on the name of the seat, which will open another wikipedia page for that seat. Scroll down to 1874 to see the candidates. 6. Generally the town or city or region will have only one seat. However, some have two or more. Thus, I have "Antrim 1" and "Antrim 2" to represent these. 7. Some seats have 100% support for one major party. If this occurs, then the major party with 0% has "write in" as their candidate. 8. In some cases if a region has more than one seat, say City of London 1 and City of London 2, there might be three candidates running for these two seats. Since we have two slot and three candidates. I give one candidate 100% of the support, and then have the competition in just one of the seats. So that first seat would have "write in" candidate for the major party with 0%. 9. The pages for each seat will also mention of the seat is a Liberal or Conservative hold or if it was a gain from the incumbent party. Make sure to check the incumbent party on each seat as you make them. 10. Overall, it isn't really difficult or confusing--just tedious. I really appreciate it. This will save a lot of time. Feel free to pass it back to me when you can't stand doing this anymore. United Kingdom - 1874.zip
