The Rodgers Anti-Trust Act of 1913 passes almost unanimously. The Government commits an investigation of Basic Oil, and determines that it is indeed a monopoly that needs to be broken up.

However, the breakup of the Basic Oil monopoly has led to a minor stock panic in the oil market due to unprepared investors. This stock panic may not affect the economy in general, but it will hurt the automobile industry, which will hurt our economy. The panic should end fast, but the budget may feel the effects of a loss of revenue.

Seeing, the results of the investigation, we will press charges in the Supreme Court and their ruling shall, of course, be the sentence in Basic Oil v. United States (1915).

The Stable Wage Growth Act of 1913 passes with a grand majority. The measure is popular with the workers, but the Government's inefficient setup of giving out the tax credits leads businesses to feel a little annoyed.

We use our Government Accountability agencies led by the Inspector General set up by President Carpenter to help flush out the Inefficiency and conduct a sweeping evaluation of the staff of the Treasury Department regarding their meritocratic appointments to their positions. We propose the Government Accountability and Merit Act of 1916 which will make government positions require a stricter burden of education and Merit for hiring and hopefully lead to a more skilled workforce. We cannot allow inefficiency in the most important functions of government.

This denial of an income tax has created protests around the Whitehouse. Crowds are drawing in thousands upon thousands of people.

We explain that this is part of small government use the Stable Wage Growth Act as a deterrent for the majority Worker-attended protests and hope to see a rise in wages and a dissipation of these protests. We believe that laissez-faire economics will be shown to win the day for the worker and the business owner alike.

This stirred chills across America, as the American People believe the President did the absolute wrong thing to do, especially in a nation where diversity is prevalent. Blatant discrimination is apparently a policy of the Conservative Party.

Well, besides the fact that Vice President Hillsbury is the second Black Vice President in the history of the United States, we stress that this decision was entirely Constitutionally motivated. I will give several speeches on a speaking tour to be mass circulated by the press exhorting all Americans against racism and extolling diversity as the American way, the way of Liberty, and the Way of Freedom. Vice President Hillsbury will share his story of rising from adversity in the inner city poor neighborhoods of Indianapolis and rising to the Office of the Vice Presidency. The Conservative Party is the party of Equality of Opportunity, Liberty, Freedom, and the American Model. Our Free Market prescriptions benefit all Americans, black and white.

23 hours ago, Kingthero said:

The American Public leans in support of this bill in a non-partisan poll taken in New York and released by the NY Time newspaper. The bill successfully passes the Senate, and skims by in the House with a few dissenting moderates from the Liberals/Progress. This was literally the only positive thing to happen to your administration, and I assume it will be signed.

Champion this bill as a victory for all Americans and sign the bill with many hardworking immigrants with great stories of becoming American and falling in love with the American Model.

23 hours ago, Kingthero said:

This bill fails in Congress, as the Liberals successfully painted the legislation as a wild bill that would destroy accountability, regardless that the law had Government oversight included.

This bill is a disaster in Congress, especially when a third of Conservatives vote against the measure. The Education Debate of 1914 led to an eerie environment in Congress, and people who supported the bill failed to defend it after the President separated morality from political gain. The American People got a Newspaper version of the debate, which alienated the President as a pro-indoctrinater. A popular cartoon is the President spanking children with Liberal-themed clothing with a stick that says Conservative Values.

1

In order to come back from these, we have no choice but to take the fight to the Liberals who politicized these measures beyond all beliefs. Both of these measures were not political battles, one was an economic fight about the future of Liberty and the Responsible Free Market. The second was even less political and merely a measure to educate our children about the American way. There would be no indoctrination against Liberalism and for Conservatism, rather only an education on our political landscape, including a non-biased look at the political parties while detailing the Constitution, our Christian Foundation, and our Capitalist society that has so enriched all Americans while warning against the dangers of our society. In other words, schools that teach of American greatness and wish to educate our children into better and more informed citizens would receive aid and funding from the government.

Probably due to the French Gov being previously communist before the civil war, confused the two.

The Supreme Court rules in favor of the Government, and Basic oil has basically been broken up into multiple companies.

The evaluation pre-bill passage has fallen apart, as the agency accountable for the investigation failed to even start it.

The bill did pass, but few actions were done to enforce it.

Funny enough, the Government actively enforces this bill. This is how immigration will look, with the tests and such, until such policy is reversed. The American People still support this.

While the President reinforced lacking Conservative support, a majority of the country still calls this motion indoctrination.

RP Note: Rodger's reputation recovers somewhat, especially among the Conservatives, but his national popularity rating is ~35%, with a 57% disapproval rating.

President John Rodgers retires from politics at age 71; he cites health and notes that two terms is enough for one man. He believes that Conservatism is still the way to go for all people, to lift up the whole nation. He retires back to Houston home and will certainly be more than happy to be a confidant for any man who holds the office of President, knowing its weight.

Vice President Hillsbury makes it clear to the National Conservative Committee, NCC, that he wishes to be renominated for Vice President; the 47-year-old wishes to remain VP in order to gain more experience.

State Senator Carly Trebuano (C-MI) announces campaign for Michigan's 8th Congressional District; she is 24 and the race is seen as an uphill climb; but she upset her first race for the State Senate and has proven a fiery spirit.

Name and office: Secretary of State Arty J. Talbot

Age: 58

Party: Conservative

Resident state: New York

VP nominee: Vice President Hillsbury @Reagan04

Platform (see State of the Union):

National Strength: It is our duty to get on the top again. During a Talbot administration we will lead the United States to her destiny, to lead the world as it's best and most powerful nation.

Military Strength: As long as we focus on our people without going overseas to fight other countries wars everything is fine here. Make sure our army is always ready to defend our great country.

Foreign Affairs: We will continue to arm the R/M faction. Send them military advisers to end the civil war in front of our doors quickly. This would also reduce the amount of Mexican refugees and immigrants coming to our country. Make sure that the factions hostile to Democracy itself never win ground.

Military: It is fine what our boys are doing down in Mexico, making sure justice and security in order to defend liberty, justice and security. We do not intend to engage in this war directly but it is our duty to defend certain values before the opponents are taking ground and begin threatening our country. Mexico is not Europe. It is our neighbor, bare this in mind.

Economy: We need denationalization, deregulation and tax cuts for our people and their employing industries in order to ensure a booming economy and higher wages.

Trade: Trade is good, trade is important. We will continue to establish good relations with European and third-world countries but not with any radical government. We will not sponsor those ideologies with our quality goods.

Budget: A balanced budget through cut spending was the goal of all Conservative administrations and we intend to keep it that way.

Social Harmony: Unity is an important and if I am elected President I promise to meet with wage-worker and Asians representatives in order to address their needs as well.

Immigration: As the Conservative administration has called for literacy and loyalty tests, we will continue to watch those closely who come to our country. We cannot risk that Communism or Fascism takes a foothold in our nation. We will also make sure that not too much immigrants will enter our country in order to protect job opportunities for our own people first.

Mood of the people: We will improve government, make it more efficient and we will address the needs of all people. It does not matter if you are an employee, an employer or a poor immigrant mum, we will work for you to make your life better.

Party Power: As I often said a strong executive can only deliver good results if he has the backing of the Congress. So I urge you to vote Conservative down-ballot. Let's the Liberals that we are a united force. Go to the voting booths!

Popularity of the Incumbent: President Rodgers was the fresh start we needed and we will continue to improve and expand his policies in order to secure the best living atmosphere for all of our people. Thank you and God bless you!

Platform (see State of the Union):

National Strength: Aim to move up one or two ranks in the top 10 country rankings.

Military Strength: Maintain the military and navy at the troop and ship levels they are currently at if the budget allows for it. Maintain naval bases in Hawaii, Cuba and Panama if those nations consent to them being maintained, withdraw from them if consent is not given. Halt the construction of military bases in French Polynesia & St Pierre and Miquelon invest in civillian infrastructure there instead.

Foreign Affairs: Enact a policy of strict neutrality only engage in warfare if we are attacked or for humanitarian reasons (Or in exceptional circumstances). Withdraw support from the monarchists in the Mexican Civil War, continue support for the republicans but stop arms sales to them but send military advisors to train their armies instead. Establish friendly diplomatic relations with Socialist Italy.

Military: Have the military and navy perform training exercises to be prepared for possible attacks or potential humanitarian intervention, stop the blockade in the Gulf of Mexico.

Economy: Try and institute a progressive tax system, attempt to have at least one state-owned company in each industry and encourage the creation of workers co-operatives, institute a national 8-hour working day and give all workers two days off at the end of the week (Saturday and Sunday), Long-term aims are to establish a universal health care system and a social security system, institute heavy regulations on businesses whether they be publicly or privately owned, allow for trade unions to be formed if they are not already, institute a national minimum wage, continue the policy of bimetallism for small denominations of currency (under one dollar) and switch to using the civil war currency of greenbacks for denominations larger than a dollar, maintain the national bank as it is if one exists create one if there isn't one, maintain the independent treasury if there is one and create one if there isn't one, create an income tax if there isn't one already, repeal alcohol prohibition laws, tax and regulate alcohol instead, create a federal reserve if there is not one, enact legislation which makes it illegal for businesseses public or private to discriminate on the basis of age, colour, convictions for which a pardon has been granted or a record suspended, disability, ethnicity, family status, gender identity, genetic characteristics, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation.

Trade: Create free trade deals with nations if they agree to strict protections for workers and the natural resources of the nations involved

Budget: A deficit is fine. Focus on how the government can make people's lives better.

Social Harmony: The creation of a National Minimum Wage and Income Tax should address the concerns of wage workers. The creation of anti-discrimination legislation should address the concerns of our Asian minority communities and any other communities which are also being discriminated against.

Immigration: All immigrants are welcome as long as they have not committed serious crimes, repeal the Immigration Values and Assimilation Act of 1914.

Mood of the people: Measures covered in the economy section of the platform should improve the mood of the population.

Popularity of the Incumbent: The Socialist Labor Party agrees with the American People that the current President is an indoctrinator and a racist and aside from breaking up of monopolies and the ecouraging of businesseses to pay their workers higher wages when they make more profits this President has done little to help the American people and deserves his abysmally low approval ratings.

Party Power: The party is willing to work with the Liberal Party on issues of common interest.

Extra: Establish a tri-partisan Education Board.

VP nominee: Egbert Seidel (WI).

**************

Name and office: Sen. Keller Ryburn

Age: 55

Party: Liberal

Resident state: Nebraska

VP nominee: Gov. Rosaline Vickers (L-GA)

Platform (see State of the Union):

National Strength: Liberal administration would see our rise continue rather than decrease. We have plateaued under Conservative leadership. It's time for a fresh face and a new promise for America.

Military Strength: Beside the point, perhaps we should rename French Polynesia either to American Polynesia or just Polynesia. We should just pretty much maintain here, there isn't a point to increase or decrease. Invest in civilian infrastructure as well as military, because we don't want to be simply seen as imperialists taking over land as we will it without giving them anything in return.

Foreign Affairs: Make sure that the Mexicans know that we support democracy to return in Mexico, but keep supplying them. We need to make sure that these two factions won't split eventually and fall to communists or fascists right on our doorstep. We want both Monarchists and Republicans in New York or Philadelphia to hammer out a deal that if they win what will happen, such as a constitutional monarchy, which is the American platform supports (if Liberals win). Make it clear we want democracy in Mexico, but Monarchists can be placated with a constitutional monarchy where the monarchs are allowed to keep power but in a limited way.

Military: (Is the blockade for anything in particular, or is it just to watch out for Italian ships?), if it isn't for anything really specific, we should just be patrolling the Gulf not necessarily blockading. If it's for pirates or something like that, yes complete blockade is preferable. We need to keep Americans safe at the border from any Mexican violence that would threaten to spill over by keeping our military out there. Propose on creating the National Guard as a way to keep these reserves trained in state-controlled militias.

Economy: Propose a massive help to the American economy by enacting an income tax. This would be a stair-step income tax that would affect the wealthy more than the middle class and there wouldn't be much, if any tax on the poorest classes in America. We should also work on making a potential free trade deal with some small non-radical European countries which will be a stepping stone to see if a free trade agreement with some European countries would actually work. (I don't know which ones are radical and which ones aren't, so I'll just say a few to see if they're radical or not), specifically if one could be formed with Sweden, Serbia, or the Greeks, or perhaps the Canadians. Domestically, we need to work on increasing American workers here by offering incentives to companies that hire American by offering tax credit if they would accept to open more in America.

Trade: Use the details in the economy to increase trade with the non-radical European countries, perhaps leading to an eventual deal with Germany to knock down tariffs between our two countries. Britain seems to be less friendly at the moment, but if relations would thaw, maybe a deal would be possible.

Budget: To increase our budget, we want to knock down some tariffs in favor of free trade agreements with a few small countries as an experiment to see if it were possible. To increase money, we would raise tariffs slightly on countries like Italy/Russia/Turkey/France, but not too much as to not antagonize them. Basically, raise tariffs slightly on those countries that are lukewarm to us.

Social Harmony: We will be encouraging local and state authorities out in the West to treat Asians kindly and with the respect they deserve. It's a dangerous precedent to set and we pledge to be the party of everyone, not just wealthy whites like Conservatives or just the select few who can afford to be Socialists.

Immigration: We are glad that immigration has largely stilled to an amount that we can continuously deal with. We encourage immigration and we are proud that everyone can become an American, regardless of background. We stand strongly behind our Educational board idea that is to be made up of 3 from each of the largest three parties in Congress to advise our states and schools on how to educate our young people.

Mood of the people: We hope our revamp of ideas will inspire Liberals to lead America into a new age of the world. We don't portray them as drastic, but necessary, and we will act with the most careful precision we could.

Party Power: We cannot grow complacent, we must continue our winnings in Congress. We pledge to work across the aisle if elected, even if it seems unlikely to work.

Popularity of the Incumbent: We will largely stay above the fray of the President, only commenting on issues like Education, the Economy, and Discrimination, and we will target it as "the Administration" rather than the President. Since he isn't running, there isn't a need to target him.

If you don't want to be the running mate you can just say, I can just create a dummy one.

Then disregard the acceptance, I just didn't want to keep an old character in 😛 Sorry mate! Just edit in a new nominee and I'll delete my acceptance!
