How VCCzar might do in an election

Recommended Posts

I finished answering all the iSidewith.com question, and then looked at my support map, on their website. If I was a candidate, and this support map was equivalent to potential voters, and they all voted, then on issues along, my General Election map might look something like this (I'm in Blue): http://www.270towin.com/maps/7A417 (WYOMING SHOULD BE RED, my error)

It would be interesting to see how other forum users maps turn out.

@Reagan04 Wyoming should be Red. Sorry about that.

Ah ok, can I get a link to the test?

Just sort of forcing a decision I would probably barely win in an election, but win, 270-268 assuming my candidate was of the same integrity, charisma, experience, and other non-issue-based areas as me. This also assumes they don't share any issue stances with me. http://www.270towin.com/maps/7A417

Montana, Indiana, and the Mid Atlantic could swing Dem. I feel like I'm looking at the 2008 electoral map.

How are you guys working out which places would vote for you?

Like, what colors are you using as a minimum?

and @NYrepublican

You pretty much have to be aware of where the population centers are. Anything in the middle, for the most part (adjusting for the city populations) is tossup. Anything closer to Red goes towards you and anything closer to purple goes against you. Since the population centers are generally small in area size, you have to be able to know where they are state-by-state. The whole thing is holistic, so there isn't a way for precision accuracy in this, but it's fun to make the holistic estimation of a general election vote.
