2020 Issue: China

Here's another 2020 issue w/ candidate positions. Let me know if anything should be changed. This assumes we are close to a trade war with China in 2019. I'm totally open to rewording any part of this.

FL: China is a threat to American labor; we should produce from home rather than import. However, avoid risking a trade war and be respectful.

L: We should rework some trade deals with China to help American labor. Avoid calling China a currency manipulator. [Sanders, ShBrown]

CL: Avoid trade war and maintain friendly relations, but keep a strong pro-American trade policy. [Paul, Biden, McAuliffe, O'Malley, Chafee, KHarris, Castro, Gabbard, Edwards, Bullock, Garcetti, Steyer, Warren, Booker, Gillibrand, Heinrich, Schultz, Grayson, HClinton, Franken, Newsom, Buttigieg, Cuomo, Moulton]

C: We should keep things as they were in 2016.  [Huntsman]

CR: Avoid a trade war, but put on pressure to prevent China from manipulating currency. Work to contain Chinese influence. [Kasich, Rubio, Martinez, Cotton, Sasse, Collins]

R: We should pressure China to stop manipulating currency, even if it leads to a Trade War. It will hurt them more than us. [Trump, Graham, Cruz]

FR: Increase presence in the Chinese sphere of influence; maximum pressure to curb China's economic policies and growing influence.
