I'm afraid I must sharply disagree with that. 1873, 1911, 1921, 1926, 1930, 1935, 1940, 1957, 1963, 1965, 1974, 1980, and 2011, as well as numerous Provincial elections were all very interesting ones in my mind. You think so? As a fellow Canadian, I wouldn't agree. For example, I don't find 1911, 1930, 1935, 1940, 1965, or 1974 interesting. I will grant you that 1873, 1921, 1926, 1957, 1963, 1993 and 1980 were very interesting.
bruhgmger2 0
And I would disagree with 1984 being classed as uninteresting sure it ended up being lopsided, but it ended 2 decades of Liberal rule and was a major realigning election, and I thought it would be interesting to see if you could stop the landslide or even win, it's the same reason I like playing a Hoover in 1932, Landon in 1936 or the Liberals in 2006. I'm afraid I must stick to my full list. Perhaps I'm just looking for different aspects of "interest." But, we're all entitled to our own opinions. We don't live in North Korea, where no election is interesting, because EVERY candidate is unopposed.

Now that you mention it, a North Korea election scenario would actually be pretty interesting (with the election not being rigged of course, but with Kim Jong Un's party starting massive ahead). Actually, Zambia 1994 was a better example without changing history. Kenneth Kuanda had held a one-party state since independence from the British in the 1960's (the former Northern Rhodesia), but was pressured heavily, internally and externally, to allow multi-party elections. Despite having a huge campaign warchest, a large incumbency bonus, control of most advertising media sources, and most of the civil service in his party, he obviously didn't rig the election, like men like Mugabe, Museveni, Putin, and others like to, because he went down under a landslide. That's a scenario I would like to do one day.

Wiw 92
I've been working on and off these scenarios: UK 2001 Germany Presidential 1932 "Anarchy in the USA!" A satirical scenario based in part on Treasurer's "Anarchy in the UK" scenario. And a "Best US President" scenario featuring all 45 presidents to date. All of them competing in the primaries in one time frame. Hopefully it'll work.

I was thinking of making a 2001 UK scenario, but got hung up on the leaders, platforms, and issues because it is harder to find info on those specific things in the US. But, I can help with percentages. Also, which parties were you thinking of having?

Actually, I believe Mexico Presidential 2000 was far more interesting than 2018 is shaping up to be (2000 was quite likely the most interesting direct Presidential election in Mexican history, in fact).
