Herbert Hoover
There is a series I am interested in starting, based around the idea of FDR having his heart attack a few years earlier and Henry Wallace succeeding him as President. Obviously, Wallace is a very controversial figure at the time, and his religious beliefs and supposed communist sympathies will be a major problem in the reelection campaign of 1944. I also don't know how differently he would have handled WW2 than FDR, I'm assuming that much does not change other than perhaps the atomic bomb taking slightly longer to be dropped. Given his unpopularity, I would also assume him to be challenged within his own party, perhaps by Hull? Ideas needed. The Republican primary would probably look a little different, but again, I"m not entirely sure how much.

I don't think George Wallace (I'm assuming that's the error - I didn't see it uncorrected) was yet 35 years of age by 1944 (or 1940, for that matter)...
