2017 Fantasy Political Players League

The drafting order below is based on the order that you agreed to enter the league, except for myself, who elected to go last as the commissioner. This order will snake each round. In short, odd number rounds will follow the below order, and even number rounds will go in reverse order.
Drafting rules: Your team must be equal parts Democrats (or liberal independent) and Republicans (or conservative independent). You may draft a write-in politician, so long as the write-in is of a living American politician.
Trading during the Draft: Owners can trade during the draft, but the trade must be approved by the commissioner, who will determine the fairness of the trade. This is to prevent someone from purposely tanking their team to help someone else. For the most part, all trades will be accepted, unless something unusual is going on. All teams must be no more and no less than 10 players, so the trades will be adjusted to account for that restriction.
Draft order:
10. @vcczar
Note: This order will reverse on even numbered rounds.
Post Draft Trades:
Trades can be made throughout the 2017 season with the approval of the Commissioner, who will only block obviously imbalanced trades to prevent someone from tanking their team to buff up a friend's team.
Any owner can add and/or drop a politician, so long as the added politician is a living American politician.
Points for Transferred Politicians:
Any points made by a politician will remain with the owner during their tenure with the owners team. That means, if a senator's most influential period occurred while the senator belong to another owner, this means some, if not all, of the points will still go to the previous owner.
Scoring System:
The scoring system will be of several parts:
1. Owners and fans at the end of 2017 will vote on the 10 major political events of the year. Politicians (no more than 3 per event) tied to those events will be awarded 5 points. If only one real major politician is tied to the event, then they will get 10 points.
2. Owners and fans will rank the top 50 politicians in order of who they thought was the most influential to least influential in 2017 at the end of the year. 1st place gets 50 points, 2nd 45, 3rd 40, 4th 35, 5th 30, 6th 25, 7th 20, 8th 15, 9th 10, 10th 5. 11th-20th will get 3 points. 21st-40th will get 1 point. 41st-50th will get negative 2 points each.
3. Individual awards will get 5 points each unless otherwise noted:
Most Valuable Politician (10 points)
Most influential executive branch member
Most influential legislative branch member
Most influential judicial branch member
Most influential politico not attached to the three major branches
Most influential Republican
Most influential Democrat
Most influential Independent
Republican Rookie of the Year
Democratic Rookie of the Year
Comeback Politician of the Year
Politician that Most Exceeded Expectations
Most Disappointing Politician of the Year (negative 5 points)
Most Scandalous Politician of the Year (negative 10 points)
Most Favorable Politician of the Year (10 points)
Least Favorable Politician of the year (negative 10 points)
Resignation, removal or death in office (negative 10 points)
Impeachment, arrest or censure (negative 10 points)
End Of Season
The wrapping up of the season will begin on December 15; although points can still accrue until Dec 31. During this time, we (owners and fans) will begin ranking the politicians and scoring them together. The awards and rankings will be tallied officially on Dec 31. During this time, a commissioner can be replaced by the league if they wish. A vote for the new commissioner will begin before the new season. The draft for 2018 will begin during this two week period as well. Lastly, the alteration of the rules can begin at this time.

Ok, so Trump, Pence, P. Ryan, McConnell, Anthony, Sessions and Tillerson are off the board.

@Conservative Elector 2 is up next. After he goes, then @Sanser2016 gets to pick. I'm after Sanser for the last pick of round 1 and for the first pick of round 2.

Since this is Christmas Eve and Christmas, I won't hold strictly to the time limit for picks in these two days, but it would be nice if people picked quickly.
