Conservative Elector 2 333
Hi my friends! I’ve created a working Arkansas scenario. http://campaigns.270soft.com/2016/08/20/arkansas-2002-governor/ It's the 2002 Gubernatorial election featuring Governor Mike Huckabee vs. State Treasurer Jimmie Lou Fisher. You are free to use it for your own Arkansas elections (Governor, Senate,...) I plan to create other Arkansas scenarios too. If you want to help me, please message me in the forum. Please give me feedback on this if you have any ideas. Features: Governor Mike Huckabee (R) State Treasurer Jimmie Lou Fisher (D) Write-in/Observation Party (ballot access only in Marion County (nearly 6 % write-in votes...) Working County map of Arkansas Accurate %s of 2002 Correct county population as given on Wikipedia Correct Debate date. Real slogans as Super PAC names Surrogate Janet Huckabee and Bill Clinton Correct county ids 1 EV per 10.000 people To-do list: Arkansas issues Endorsers Potential candidates (at least the real challengers for the nominees are now included) Surrogates Lieutenant Governor as running mate (Done!) County flags and seals (maybe, we'll see) Primaries (Done!) Realistic funds (any ideas?) Add Wesley Clark, Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln Have fun, I look forward to your feedback. *Last update: 08/20/2016*
Reagan04 658
looks great I was actually on the Huckabus in the Summer of 2015, he was my first favorite for President, then i saw past his amazing social policies and into his awful economic and immigration policy, so jumped to Walker,Bush,Paul,Fiorina,Carson,Cruz
Patine 469
What about primaries, Third Parties, and Independents? Was this election REALLY just two candidates from start to finish (I could look it up on wiki...)?

Was this election REALLY just two candidates from start to finish (I could look it up on wiki...)? Primaries will be done. There weren't no third parties... Thanks for all the feedback. There is much work to do. @JohnnyK Lieutenant Governors as running mates can be done of course. I didn't because I thought they are separately elected in Arkansas and not on the same ticket. Anyway I can do it. I'm not sure about, county logos or flags. I always just included the state flag in my state scenarios, as I don't know if every county has a flag or seal at all. I googled for example Desha County. I didn't found any helpful images...
Conservative Elector 2 333
BTW: if you ask yourself, where I found the county results, I can recommend http://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/state.php?fips=5&year=2002&f=0&elect=0&off=5 Here you find, nearly all state elections of all states in recent history. A great source.
Conservative Elector 2 333
Update #1: Primaries playable Lt. Gov. Winthrop P. Rockefeller (R) Bill Halter as democratic running mate (D) 2 new Democrats and 1 Republican challenger Primary %s as given on Wikipedia Good gaming! Let me know, if you want to request something. And county logo's or seals. Oh and with the new 2.3.8 update you can add interviewers in. Primaries would be nice when more candidates are added I know how long it takes to create a gubernatorial bravo The Lt. Gov. is done! What interviewers are you thinking on? Yeah, it was a tough thing to make that happen... Since you can click on regions in the map editor and get the right coordinates it's at least much much easier. Thank you so much @admin_270 !!! Conservative Elector 2 333
Update #2 is out: Thanks to @JohnnyK Arkansas Interviewers Accurate Arkansas Endorsers are now done.
Falcon 0
Like it alot! However you might maybe consider replacing Huckabees picture with one from like 2002? The one you are using is from 2016.

Conservative Elector 2 333
@Falcon I can change it. @Reagan04 Yeah, that's the only fault about that great site but that was pretty common before 2000.

Yeah I like watching the election of 1988 or 84 whenever I am down to lift my spirits, but it always makes me do a double take!
Conservative Elector 2 333
@Falcon I cut out a photo of Huckabee from his 2002 campaign ad. Will release it with the next update. Btw has someone any ideas about state campaign finances? What are some realistic values?
Patine 469
Given Arkansas is one of the ten poorest states in the Union, you have to make big cuts to the numbers...

Socialist Geek 0
It would be great if you could update the scenario once more with other Democratic politicians in Arkansas at the time. I am pretty sure that Arkansas had a lot of capable people at the time. Also, I wanted to ask about undecideds. I'm playing your scenario as a Democrat, and it seems that in both Republican and the General Election, the undecided numbers are over the top (I have Fog of War on btw). In the Republican primaries, undecided voters are 67.7%. In the General Election, 28.3%, more than the GOP candidate Huckabee. Any ideas why?

Well, currently I am not doing any updates for my scenarios due to other private projects I am working on. For the issue regarding the undecided voters, I am have no idea. I am sorry. The only competitive Arkansas Democrat at that time I can think of is Sen. Blanche Lincoln.

If @admin_270, doesn't seriously address fixing this, I'll just have to do all my planned scenarios of this sort by P4E2008 and be done with it. The same with him dragging his heels on a new MMP engine. If he can't come up with, I'll just do all my many planned scenarios of that sort by K4E and be done with it. To me, at least, he's not giving a good case for the obsolescence of those game engines.
Guest
@Patine In my experience PMI-UK is relatively stable for scenario making.

Yes, but that doesn't cover nearly everything I'd like to make into scenarios. And, I only bought the Canadian version of PMI, anyways.
