mz452 20
When can we expect to see an update to the Australian game? When will the Palmer United Party actually work? Also, are you planning on adding an Independent option?
austingrd 0
Hopefully soon though. I was trying to look for this too.
admin_270 833
@MG1992, After the next P4E16 release, focus will switch back to PM4E Aus 2013. I'm guessing another week or so. Yes, high-profile Independents will be added to 2013. PUP requires significant modification of the preference flows - I would like to have it with the next release, but we'll see. RI Democrat 39
Are you also planning to modify the issue centers at the constituency level? It looks like they're all set to Center at the moment. (This isn't a complaint - I just thought I might take a crack at it myself if it wasn't in the plans for the official version.) admin_270 833
@RI Democrat, I don't have immediate plans to do this.
VanMav 0
@RI Democrat, If you're going to do it I can give you a hand, if you want?
RI Democrat 39
I've started working on it, but I also discovered that when I change the issue centers for a single electorate in the Campaign Editor, it changes them for all the other electorates in that same region. Editing Canberra, for example, will also shift the issue centers for Fraser. In some ways this makes the editing easier, but I'd also like to be able to create some "exceptions" for safe Labor seats in otherwise solid Coalition territory and vice versa. I'll see if it's possible to add a separate list of issue centers for a single electorate through manual editing. If that doesn't work, I'll try editing candidate strength in those electorates to compensate. VanMav, if you'd like to take a look at what I've come up with, I can send you the file. I'm somewhat familiar with Australian politics but I'm definitely having to make educated guesses on some of these.
RI Democrat 39
Also, on Election Night, it seems to be displaying the leaders' names for individual electorate results rather than the local candidates' - is there something I need to adjust in the Editor to get it to display the local candidates? mz452 20
Bump. Any news?
admin_270 833
I would like to see a new PM4E Aus 2013 version by the new year. I has been delayed by the Kickstarter campaign, among other things.
