extreme_right 3
I think Nikki Sinclair should be removed from the UKIP crusaders list, being as she is in big trouble with the party and is no longer a UKIP MEP.
RI Democrat 39
I'm actually already working on an abbreviated "Cleggmania!" scenario - it would start right after the first debate with the Lib Dems running much stronger in the polls, and Issue Familiarity's importance would be increased so that the second and third debates would have a bigger impact. Monty 2
Great game! I bought it the moment the e-mail informing me of the game fell into my inbox. As for suggestions, well, I agree that the following would be great for election night: Constituency by constituency reporting. Reports should come in through the wee hours of the morning, not early evening. Swingometer, both nationally, regionally and for each constituency. Coalition government. I would also like to see the following: When election night is over and you click ok you're immediately taken back to the main menu. I would like to be given the opportunity to review the election results at my leisure. It would also be pretty cool if I could save the election night results so I could revisit it in the future. Would agree with that. I didn't even have time to see if I'd taken my targeted marginals before the game automatically returned to the main menu. On President Forever there was a "Election night is over, press OK to continue" prompt and you had time to review all your results before hitting the button.
EGaffney 17
There are errors in the previous election data (e.g. Westmorland and Lonsdale should be Liberal Democrat), that I'll note as I find them. Westmorland and Lonsdale=Liberal Democrat Lancaster and Fleetwood=Labour * Wyre and Preston North=Conservative Wirral West=Conservative * Altrincham and Sale West=Conservative Rochdale=Labour * Selby and Ainsty=Conservative Thirsk and Malton=Conservative Beverley and Holderness=Conservative Clwyd West=Labour * Staffordshire Moorlands=Conservative * Aldridge-Brownhills=Conservative Solihull=Conservative * Chippenham=Liberal Democrat Filton and Bradley Stoke=Conservative Thornbury and Yate=Liberal Democrat Wiltshire South West=Conservative Leicestershire South=Conservative Broadland=Conservative Kenilworth and Southam=Conservative Milton Keynes North=Labour * Basildon and Billericay=Conservative Bedfordshire Mid=Conservative Bedfordshire North East=Conservative Bedfordshire South West=Conservative Clacton=Conservative Witham=Conservative Beckenham=Conservative Bexleyheath and Crayford=Conservative Croydon Central=Labour * Enfield North=Conservative * Brent Central=Labour * Chelsea and Fulham=Conservative Finchley and Golders Green=Conservative * Hammersmith=Labour * Camborne and Redruth=Liberal Democrat Newton Abbot=Liberal Democrat Somerset North=Conservative Somerset North East=Conservative * St Austell and Newquay=Liberal Democrat Rochester and Strood=Conservative Sittingbourne and Sheppey=Conservative * Thanet South=Conservative * Aldershot=Conservative Arundel and South Downs=Conservative Basingstoke=Conservative Bexhill and Battle=Conservative Bognor Regis and Littlehampton=Conservative Meon Valley=Conservative * These seats would be correct on old boundaries, but they need to be fixed to use the Press Association estimated notional results on new boundaries. admin_270 833
Ok, all these were modified (except Leicester South - Labour seems right) and will be in v. 1.5.4. Thanks very much! EGaffney 17
Labour candidate names updated. Constituency names have all been changed to the official names for new boundaries. Also included is the matching file for previous elections. Later I will update Conservative and Liberal Democrat candidate names. http://edwardgaffney...idings_data.p4e http://edwardgaffney...ection_data.p4e
Treasurer 28
Previous election data is definitely a really good edition. which I would like to incorporate into future scenarios and linking together the user-made UK General elections some time. I would rarely look at the "Details" section on election night, but I will now!
Treasurer 28
Also Theoryspark, when the election campaign is over, will you be adding in momentum-affecting events, such as the 3 debates and the Brown gaffe? As such in your 2005 scenario?
Potsdamerplatz 1
Also Theoryspark, when the election campaign is over, will you be adding in momentum-affecting events, such as the 3 debates and the Brown gaffe? As such in your 2005 scenario? And don't forget the failed SNP court challenge to have the 3rd debate stopped which has resulted in negative headlines for the party. EGaffney 17
My earlier ridings file is updated with Conservative and Liberal Democrat candidate names. I also recommend that the Ulster Unionist acronym should be changed to UCUNF. Many of the candidates listed as UUP are actually Conservatives running as UCUNF coalition candidates. UCUNF fits in the space for acronyms.

UCUNF fits in the space for acronyms. I have corrected the Northern Ireland ridings further, but I'll wait for any corrections until the election is over. Also, I was thinking of having Veritas Changed to: AFD-TUV, and Respect changed to: Respect-TUSC. The logos would need to be changed then. Also, I put the TUV leader as an alternate for Veritas besides Mr. Judge.
EGaffney 17
Those are good ideas. I wouldn't bother adjusting polling numbers until after the election either. However, these files are simple to transfer into any future update, and it would be best to work with the new ridings file early, as they now have the correct names for both candidates and constituencies. EGaffney 17
The new "GAIN" feature is really great. However, it doesn't seem to work correctly after I scroll to the final page of seats for any given region. Only some gains are still marked as such when I browse forwards and backwards after reaching the final page. It works correctly when I leave that screen and re-enter it. thetrotsky 3
GOP Progressive. What did you change on the NI ridings?
thetrotsky 3
Oh one more thing. In next update the Veritas stance for Northern Irelang should be placed to the extreme right with the inclusion of TUV in their alliance.
