EGaffney 17
Planned scenarios are being held back for now. Next scenarios: Antigua and Barbuda general election, 2009 - almost finished. There is an annoying List Error that I can't resolve. British presidential election, 2008 - another fictional scenario, set in the Republic of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Candidates: Brown, Clegg, Cruddas, and Purnell (Lab/Lib List); Cameron, Johnson, Farage, Davis (Conservative).

EGaffney 17
I'm quite looking forward to the Anitgua scenario! I just finished researching and writing a series of Wikipedia articles about their elections, so I decided to parlay the information into a scenario. 2009 is the closest election in Antigua and Barbuda's history by seat total. matvail2002 803
If you want (and you probably know my e-mail), I can help you with the Antigua and Barbuda scenario.

EGaffney 17
I have uploaded an improved version. Constituencies now have variable numbers of electors; as in real life, constituency size varies from fewer than 1,000 to more than 4,000 voters. Unnecessary and large extra map file is removed to save space. Economy strength is reduced to 1 (was 2) to weaken the government parties, which were over-performing relative to real results. gopprogressive 1,063
What about regionalism? It didn't seem like there was much regional quirks there. So Antigua and Barbuda is ruled by a Conservative party that supports Hugo Chavez?
EGaffney 17
What about regionalism? It didn't seem like there was much regional quirks there. So Antigua and Barbuda is ruled by a Conservative party that supports Hugo Chavez? I don't have any information on regionalism, so I'm not going to make something up. Both the parties support stronger relations with Cuba and Venezuela, because they are very generous with assistance. Antigua and Barbuda doesn't need foreign aid as much as technical skills. For instance, the islands don't have a university, so they need help from Cuba to train doctors; also, they have an oil deal with Venezuela. It's not really correct to describe the UPP as conservative or the ALP as socialist; they are essentially personalist groups organised around their leaders, with the ALP being far more populist than the UPP. Needless to say, Chavez and the Castros aren't hate figures in the Caribbean in the same way they are in the USA.
EGaffney 17
So now that I know how to control regional populations, some of the scenarios are more accurate. 1992 and 2005 now have improved population figures, so, for instance, you can see the full effects of the electoral system "bias" against the Tories:
EGaffney 17
I am back. I approve and give my blessing to everything that GOP Progressive has done to my scenarios, I have not actually checked but I am sure it is fine. I will work on some backlog now

normanwisdomii 1
Great work. have been crying out for decent scenarios for ages. I thought your 2010 to be a little pro-Conservative however. they start with over 400 seats which, lets face it, won't happen. cheers anyway

Kauai 0
I believe Gaffney made his 2010 election scenario last year, when the Conservatives were riding high before "Clegg-mania." Indeed. They had anywhere from a 15-20 point lead then.

EGaffney 17
Yeah. AFAIK there is now an official scenario with the 2010 game, which I haven't bought yet. 2010 may spur me on to complete some of my scenario ideas. I am asking for an amnesty on my offers to help people. I'm sorry that I didn't have the time. I will be happy to take on smaller jobs from now on.

EGaffney 17
I'm now going to help GOP Progressive with an Ireland scenario. I'm also going to update my UK scenarios with previous_election_data and official constituency names, taken from Wikipedia. Then I will update my other scenarios with previous_election_data. EGaffney 17
UK 1992 now supports previous election data. I am also adding many candidate names extracted from The Guardian's database.

Have you taken a look at my 1992 scenario (which was just a revising of yours)? I'll put those new ridings though in my scenario then. Send me the 1979 and 1983 ones when you are done as well. I may look back at my modification of Treasurer's UK 1987 scenario as well.
