RI Democrat
http://www.mediafire.com/?ijmmzwejwel Feedback is very welcome. To give you some background on what this scenario is about, here is the scenario file description, plus some additional info that I included in the scenario folder under the title "The Story So Far." This is based on a mix of the graphic novel and movie versions of V For Vendetta. Scenario Description Though credited with keeping Britain out of nuclear war, the Labour Party proved unable to deal with the multiple crises that arose later, and a series of minority governments have been unable to cope with rising instability and outbreaks of domestic terrorism. The most recent minority government, led by the hard-right Norsefire Party, has fallen in a vote of no-confidence, but its leaders have controversially continued to institute new security measures during the election campaign without the approval of Parliament. Political tension is at an all-time high, and some fear that a Norsefire victory could lead to the end of British democracy. (Based on a combination of the graphic novel and film versions of "V For Vendetta.") Treasurer
Brilliant background story, and very compelling scenario prospect. Never read the book or seen the movie though. I'll play it fully soon as i can!

Kauai
And I was right. Plays very well. I'll play a few more times and then I'll see if I can come up with any improvement suggestions.
Treasurer
I can help you improve it if you want. I was well in the lead with Norsefire, but i crashed, having lots of negative momentum, and in the end, the Alliance came from nowhere and won. I felt like i wasn't in control by the end. Probably because i ran out ad money, but it all seemed erratic with the large amounts of money. I can put in the right issue images if you want. RI Democrat
The Alliance should perhaps have less money -- they're meant to be a in a pretty weakened state. I've never seen them win before in this scenario, but I didn't intend for that be possible. The scenario is meant to be somewhat events-driven, though. The St. Mary's virus is always going to give a boost to parties with a more right-wing position on security issues and hurt those more to the left. Also, if Norsefire gets accused of creating the virus (of which they were seemingly guilty in the V For Vendetta movie), you'll see the opposite effect and the public will turn against parties that are right-wing on those issues. Did you get both the virus and the counter-accusation when you played?
Treasurer
The Alliance won, due to a four way party split of the seats, and the Alliance edged it, with a late surge. I can understand what's going on now. I looked at your events file. For the "NORSEFIRE ACCUSED OF CREATING ST. MARY'S VIRUS" headline, you've put in 20 for chance_occurs_any_given_day, but the headline will come up everytime you play the game because you've put a "1" for event_will_occur, which means it will over-ride any percentage you give it, so leave that as 0, if thats what you desired, a 20% chance for each day. The 1 for times_can_occur is OK though.

The 1 for times_can_occur is OK though. I meant to change that back to 0, actually. I changed it to 1 because I wanted to see how it would affect the game when it did happen, but it's not supposed to happen every single time. Do you think I should make the viral outbreak itself an optional issue rather than something that invariably happens? My thought was that the challenge of the scenario would be to beat Norsefire despite the outbreak and without any guarantee of their role in it coming to light. (I'd also have to remove the follow-up events, since it unfolds over several days as the scenario currently stands.) Anyway, I'll be sure to at least change the accusation event before I post the next version.
Treasurer
I would prefer the virus was compulsive, and the Norsefire accusation optional. I like the big event intervention for this one.

RI Democrat
Sorry, didn't realize people were still reading this thread. I think what I may do, actually, is just try to finalize it this weekend and then send it out and/or post it - I just have a few changes to make, but I got distracted working on UK '79, Weimar 1933, and some others.
