gopprogressive 1,063
I'm thinking of redoing the scenario. While I wouldn't mind doing it with RL candidates/leaders, it seems that there is very little difference between the PES, EPP, and ELD. Would you rather have me set in 2014 instead? If so, I'd need an appropriate logo.
Treasurer 28
I would prefer that with RL candidates. I can prepare a scenario logo for it, not sure if i can edit the current one though, as it needs a specific font.
gopprogressive 1,063
So...I'd like to keep the party groups capped at 5 (or 6 MAYBE): European Peoples' Party Herman Van Rompuy (Belgium) José Manuel Barroso (Portugal) Angela Merkel (Germany) Nicholas Sarkozy (France) Jean-Claude Juncker (Luxembourg) Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Tony Blair (England) José Luis Zapatero (Spain) Alliance of European Liberals and Democrats Anders Fogh Rasmussen (Denmark) Matti Vanhanen (Finland) Greens-Left Eva-Britt Svensson (Sweden) Daniel Cohn-Bendit (France) Euroskeptic Bloc Geert Wilders (Netherlands) Nigel Farage (England) Please feel free to suggest any others you'd like to see and if you'd rather have it set in 2009 or 2014.
matvail2002 803
2009 will be good. BTW, does the far-right parties in the Euro Parliament which are as non-inscrits (BNP, Front National, Vlaams Belang) are in suffisant number to justify a party by themselves. Also, does the UK Conservatives and the Polish Law and Justice party will be a part of the EPP group? For more leaders: European Peoples' Party Mariano Rajoy (Spain) Donald Tusk (Poland) Fredrik Reinfeldt (Sweden) Enda Kenny (Ireland) Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Mona Sahlin (Sweden) George Papandreou Jr.(Greece) Helle Thorning-Schmidt (Denmark) Alliance of European Liberals and Democrats Guy Verhofstadt (Belgium) Guido Westerwelle (Germany) Nick Clegg (England) Brian Cowen (Ireland) Mark Rutte (Netherlands) Euroskeptic Bloc Philippe de Villiers (France) Pia Kjærsgaard (Denmark) Francesco Speroni (Italy)
gopprogressive 1,063
I may add in the far-right as non-inscrits then.

gopprogressive 1,063
So...I'd like to keep the party groups capped at 5 (I'm going to say that the ultra-far-right parties have been banned by the ECHR for being "racist for the 2014 election): European Peoples' Party Herman Van Rompuy (Belgium) José Manuel Barroso (Portugal) Angela Merkel (Germany) Nicholas Sarkozy (France) Jean-Claude Juncker (Luxembourg) David Cameron (England) Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Tony Blair (England) José Luis Zapatero (Spain) Mona Sahlin (Sweden) George Papandreou Jr.(Greece) Helle Thorning-Schmidt (Denmark) Alliance of European Liberals and Democrats Anders Fogh Rasmussen (Denmark) Matti Vanhanen (Finland) Guy Verhofstadt (Belgium) Guido Westerwelle (Germany) Nick Clegg (England) Brian Cowen (Ireland) Greens-Left Eva-Britt Svensson (Sweden) Daniel Cohn-Bendit (France) Femke Halsema (Netherlands) Joschka Fischer (Germany) Monica Frassoni (Italy) Euroskeptic Bloc Geert Wilders (Netherlands) Nigel Farage (England) Michał Kamiński (Poland) Pia Kjærsgaard (Denmark) Francesco Speroni (Italy) Please feel free to suggest any others you'd like to see and if you'd rather have it set in 2009 or 2014. matvail2002 803
GOP Progressive, I really like your EU-2015 scenario, however one thing to update your scenario would be to add real life leaders.
gopprogressive 1,063
Thanks and I agree. I am working on a revision, but it's on the backburner. Agriculture Balanced Budget Crime and Terrorism Defense Economy Education Environment Europe Financial Crisis Foreign Policy Healthcare Immigration Jobs Social Security Tax Reform Trade Turkey Welfare State And political parties: EPP (Conservatives) PES (Social Democrats) ALDE (Liberals) Green-Left (Greens and Left-wingers) Eurosceptic Bloc (Nationalists, Anti-European Conservatives)

gopprogressive 1,063
I'll work on this one next, with my Dutch election being finished. It'll be called EU 2014, unless you guys think it should be set in 2012 or 2015. Please feel free to suggest more leaders, at least political leaders who are considered relevant or accomplished (the problem with the current EU politicians is that most are not). LEADERS: EPP Angela Merkel (Germany) Nicolas Sarkozy (France) Silvio Berlusconi (Italy) David Cameron (England) José Manuel Barroso (Portugal) PES José Zapatero (Spain) Helle Thorning-Schmidt (Denmark) Jens Stoltenberg (Norway) Werner Faymann (Austria) George Papandreou (Greece) ALDE Guy Verhofstadt (Belgium) Mark Rutte (Netherlands) GREEN-LEFT Daniel Cohn-Bendit (France) Maria Wetterstrand (Sweden) UEN Geert Wilders (Netherlands) Václav Klaus (Czech Republic)
EGaffney 17
Cameron isn't EPP, but it's somewhat likely that he will be in 2014.
