I'm working on a scenario very similar to this.

I think it's just such an obvious concept, given there have been Canadians seriously mulling over a republican, US-style system since the '50's, it was bound to come up more than once. I'm not trying to plaidgerize you; I'd actually forgotten you'd started that one till now, it's been so long without an update. Are you upset, or just pointing this out matter-of-factly?

For the Conservatives, I would add:

-Lawrence Cannon

-James Moore

For the Liberals, I would add:

-Frank McKenna

-John Manley

-Martha Hall Findley

-David Orchard

-Dominic LeBlanc

-Ken Dryden

-Joe Volpe

-Ruby Dhalla

For the NDP, I would add:

-Thomas Mulclair

-Lorne Nystrom

-Lorne Calvert

-Ray Martin

-Dwight Duncan

-Howard Hampton

-Svend Robinson (Unlikely)

For the Bloc, I would add:

-Réal Ménard

-Francine Lalonde

-Jean Dorion

For the Greens, I would add:

-Adrienne Carr

-Jane Sterk

-Gary Caldwell
