Canada 2010

Because of the situation that is going on in Canada, I am making a scenario in which Canada dissolves its government and has a President. I have finished the regions and am not working on the parties and candidates. I will need help with issues and such later.

PS - Because of this, I am putting everything else on hold. Also, if anyone asks for this scenario before it is released, you will not get it.

As a fellow canadian, basically this has two main problems due to the structure of P4E+P and the impossibility to have a runoff election with the current version of P4E+P.

1)Should we add any third-party candidate, as this could lead to a minority in term of EV? (Bloc Québécois, NDP, Greens)

2)Are provinces or regions/cities (are the last PM4E Canada map) is best way to represent EV?

The electoral college distribution (and delegates) could be:

Newfoundland & Labrador:4=40

Nova Scotia:6=60

P.E.I:1=10

New Brunswick:5=50

Québec:20=200

Ontario:24=240

Manitoba:8=80

Saskatchewan:6=60

Alberta:14=140

BC:16=160

Yukon:1=10

NWT:1=10

Nunavut:1=10

Total=107=1070

OR

British Columbia- 42=420

Alberta- 34=340

Saskatchewan- 20=200

Manitoba- 20=200

Ontario- 130=1300

Québec- 99=990

New Brunswick- 20=200

Nova Scotia- 21=210

Prince Edward Island- 8=80

Newfoundland- 13=130

Nunavut- 2=20

Northwest Territories- 2=20

Yukon- 2=20

OR

British Columbia - 27=270

Greater Vancouver - 17=170

Alberta - 33=330

Saskatchewan - 22=220

Manitoba - 22=220

Northern Ontario - 14=140

Eastern Ontario - 31=310

Central Ontario - 31=310

Southern Ontario - 31=310

East Toronto - 15=150

West Toronto - 16=160

Northern Québec - 21=210

Western Québec - 27=270

Eastern Québec - 27=270

Montréal-Laval - 28=280

New Brunswick- 20=200

Nova Scotia- 21=210

Prince Edward Island- 8=80

Newfoundland- 13=130

Nunavut- 2=20

Northwest Territories- 2=20

Yukon- 2=20

The seats for the primairies will be the electoral college seats multiplied by 10.

The primairies elections for all parties will be all by proportionnal system for all parties.

As an Albertan, myself, I would dare say Klein wouldn't run. Ultimately, as much as it was brushed under the carpet by the Alberta PC's, Klein was a [edited] alchoholic who embarassed Alberta nationally and internationally numerous times; it was largely his fiscal policy and 'everyman' charm that got him reelected twice. Eventually, even the Redneck Tories who run my province had enough of him and called a leadership convention. I imagine he'd get negligible votes down East.

I'm sure 80soft really appreciate a comment like this being posted on the board. I'm sorry, but offensive comments like the one you made disgust me. Add in the fact that making allegations like the one you made could be considered libel.

He's allowed to speak freely.

I have finished a very preliminary part of the game. I have the Conservatives and Liberals completed. I have yet to add the Bloc and NDP. I will also likely add the Greens and maybe some of the smaller parties. I am now going to ask for help. When I try to play the game, it fails but campaigns forever says everything is fine. I would appreciate it if someone could look at this. Also, I am not using Canadian issues as of now because that takes way too much work. Also, I have not edited party/candidate platforms. Finally, I will need help with funds for the candidates, as well as crusaders. Here are the candidates:

Stephen Harper

Stockwell Day

Peter MacKay

Tony Clement

Lawrence Cannon

Marjory LeBreton

Bernard Lord

Stephane DIon

Bob Rae

Mike Ignatieff

John Manley

Gerard Kennedy

Justin Trudeau

Ralph Goodale

Belinda Stronach

Scott Brison

Brian Tobin

Shawn Graham

Sheila Copps

Martha Hall-Findlay

Leave your email address if you are willing to help, not if you want the scenario. If you leave your email address and I find out you wanted the scenario just to have, not to help, I can assure you that you will never get any of my scenarios again. Also, if you leave your email just to play the scenario or are posting it so when the scenario is finished you will be one of the firsts to get it, I can promise that you won't get it.

Another suggestion is MP's and Premiers as endorsers, which would include those running from among such position (who'd no doubt be set to be decided to endorse themselves). Like Senators, Representatives, and Governors in the US, anyone of them who won would no doubt lose their position (to a by-election for MP's and a majority party leadership convention for Premiers, knowing Canadian politics), but that's trivia beyond the scope of the game.
