president9
Since all my other scenarios have no point due to the fact Obama won I will compile a major 2012 scenario. History: Obama-Biden have done fairly well in their four years. Events: March 13, 2009- Terrorist Attack on the Nation's Capitol, Planes fly into US Capitol, Pentagon, and the Washington Monument(I know this is unlikely but I couldn't find another place for the attack) March 13, 2009- President Obama responds quickly, and announces war on Pakistan March 14, 2008- Troops invade Pakistan, and death toll announced for March 13's attacks: 1,692 deaths and 12,342 injuries April 2, 2009- America withdraws all troops from Iraq April 15, 2009- Shots fired at the presidential motorcade, Misses President Obama, Man who shot the motorcade was arrested May 7, 2009- Obama announces plan to withdraw from Pakistan July 5, 2009- President Obama approves financial bailout plan for 900 Billion Dollars September 12, 2009- President Obama approves a thir bailout, this time for 400 billion dollars January 16, 2010- Vice-President Biden announces he is "displeased" with the senate March 12, 2010- American troops assasinate Osama Bin Laden March 13, 2010- President Obama withdraws all troops from Pakistan April 16, 2010- President Obama reaches 87% approval July 4, 2010- Governor Sarah Palin announces candidacy for 2012's presidential race September 3, 2010- Gas Prices reach $2.00 a gallon September 4, 2010- President Obama reaches 67% approval ratings October 28, 2010- America enters the Second Great Depression October 29, 2010- Mitt Romney announces race for presidency in 2012. October 30, 2010- Joe Lieberman switches parties to become a republican November 4, 2010- It is now clear Senator McCain won re election January 5, 2011- Joe Lieberman announces race for presidemcy

VoteGOP
Yeah a second great depression is really "doing well". And none of the others are pointless we've created alternate history scenarios before.
arrabin56
How about Washington Monument instead of White House Lawn? Just seems a bit more likely. Also, how'd gas hit $1? Lets go for $2 first. For the Dems, a fringe candidate will run on a "stop invading countries" line, like a Kucinich For GOP, Huckabee is certainly possible, Perry might be a little more of a stretch. More likely Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Tim Pawlenty If we're in the 2nd Great Depression, a couple economic candidates are likely. Maybe Corzine for the Dems, or Bloomberg as an indy?
