2008 General Election (2008 Gold)

Recommended Posts

Well, we all know the story. The underdog candidate from Illinois, Senator Barack Obama, came from down alot in the polls to upset Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and win the Democratic nomination for President. On the Republican side, they have their own comeback story. Just a year ago, Senator John McCain's campaign was considered to be dead. He had no money and was firing campaign workers left and right. But strong victories in both New Hampshire and South Carolina followed by a win in Florida propelled him to the nomination. We begin on September 1st, 2008. About two months until the 2008 election. At the Democratic convention, Senator Obama chose Indiana Senator Evan Bayh as his running mate. At the GOP convention McCain tabbed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as his #2 on the ticket. The race is on.
