Kauai 0
Cynthia would do best in the South [ NDP Primaries ], and Georgia specifically. Although she should be hard to win as, as the South would have very few delegates. [ NDP canidates would have shit no chance winning any Southern state. ]
VoteGOP 490
Well if we're having a green party wouldn't she be better for that?
albertaliberal2525 0
I wouldn't put Bob Rae in the NDP Column. He's a Liberal now.
browns47 3
I wouldn't put Bob Rae in the NDP Column. He's a Liberal now. I was thinking that. It's just that there are so many Liberals to choose from that moving him over would make the game possibly more competitive. The thing is, didn't he become a liberal becasue the NDP has gone so far left under Jack Layton? We could theroetically move the NDP 'towards the center' (like that will ever happen lol) and that would put Rae in a good position to be NDP
VoteGOP 490
The NDP represents the far left whaco vote in this election. They're really there to give the cons a fighting chance in Canada by splitting the left vote.

albertaliberal2525 0
I suppose your right about Bob Rae. The reason he moved more less from the NDP to the Liberals is that he followed a long standing tradition of NDP Provincial Premiers who are actually more Centrists and supporters of the Federal Liberal Party vs. the Federal NDPs. Names come to mind like Roy Romano and Ujjal Dosanjh who were NDPs Provincially but Liberal Federally. However, considering a merger of the Liberals and the Democrats the party would probably experience a shift to the right, which would allow for Left leaning Liberals like Bob Rae to move back to the NDP. You're right Bob Rae for the NDP would work.

VoteGOP 490
I'd move Mkinney to the greens and add Lou Dobbs and maybe Ron Paul as an anti union. And since Michigan governor Jennifer Granhoum (sp?) as a dem since shes Canadian born. The map is coming slowly but sureley. I'm working on the deep south now.

Trevor 1
My suggestion for parties. Liberal-Democratic Party(Centrist): Barack Obama Hillary Clinton Stéphane Dion Michael Ignatieff Bob Rae Dalton McGuinty Conservative Party (Right of centre): Rudy Giuliani Mitt Romney Stephen Harper Jean Charest Bernard Lord Mike Huckabee New Alliance Party (Left-wing, Eco-Socialist): David Suzuki Ralph Nader Jack Layton Dennis Kucinich Gary Doer Rally Against the Union (Protectionist, Anti-Union Alliance): Lou Dobbs Pauline Marois David Orchard Ron Paul Pat Buchanan
VoteGOP 490
The Lib-Dems would be more left. The point of having two liberal parties is to give the Cons a fighting chance in parts of Canada which is very liberal. The bloc is used for the same purpose to take Quebec away from the libs or at least make it competitive.
VoteGOP 490
Anyone wanna do up a quick primary scedule that incorperates the Canadian provinces. Pretty much keep the US ones where they are but add some Canadian ones in the pre super tuesday primaries.

gopprogressive 1,063
My suggestion for parties.Liberal-Democratic Party(Centrist): Barack Obama Hillary Clinton Stéphane Dion Michael Ignatieff Bob Rae Dalton McGuinty Conservative Party (Right of centre): Rudy Giuliani Mitt Romney Stephen Harper Jean Charest Bernard Lord Mike Huckabee New Alliance Party (Left-wing, Eco-Socialist): David Suzuki Ralph Nader Jack Layton Dennis Kucinich Gary Doer Rally Against the Union (Protectionist, Anti-Union Alliance): Lou Dobbs Pauline Marois David Orchard Ron Paul Pat Buchanan I would describe the Liberal-Democratic Paryt as Center-Left, and the Conservatives as Center-Right. But other than that, this works out well.
matvail2002 803
By Canadian standards, the liberal Party is to the center and the Conservatives are center-right. The NDP is between the center-left and the left. However, the GOP is considered much more to the right as the Conservatives in Canada. (Even the democrats could be sometimes more right-wing than the Canadian Conservatives on certains things. Oddly, they seems at par on many subjects). Even the former Reform Party was less right-wing than the current GOP. Frankly, I am a proud conservative (from Canada), I am pro-choice, I am not really religious and I am pro-gun control. However, I am at par with the GOP on economic policies. I am that the name New Alliance Party is not really good for a left-wing (In Canadian Politics, the Alliance was the name of a center-right political party who was the sucessor of the Reform Party and later marged with the PC to become the Conservative Party of Canada). I have a few suggestions for a new name (the flower, like the Labor Party will be a good logo): Progressive Party Social-Democratic Party The Green-Left Coalition Progressive Socialist Party
Kauai 0
However the Liberals in Canada are much farther to the left of the average American Liberal, and so we need to add HEAVY region minus's for the South for Canadian Liberals, and perhaps Minus's for American Conservatives in most of Canada. [ Not Rudy Giuliani ]
