Justin
Playing that Confederate States Scenario gave me an idea. Creigl
I have submitted my 1861 CSA scenario and I believe that your idea of the Turledove Elections would be worthwhile and informative. Have you read Settling Accounts: Return Engagment? I have 2 chapters left to go! Turtledove is a good alt hist. author but I disapprove of this CSA is Germany idea in this series. As a descendant of CS veterans and an SCV Camp Cmdr. it troubles me, but the idea of seeing a free Confederacy is elating.

The war in General is much more horrible than in otl as WWII here has gone Chemical. It was also interesting to see Featherston reject the notion of a nuclear weapon while US has a nuke facility in Washington. Being the Damnyankee New Englander I am, I hope the US gets it's ass in gear. I want to see a Karkhov or a Kursk taht will force the rebs back. Otherwise taht nuke'll mean nothing if the US continues to be cut in half.
Tom
I'm interested in getting this in gear. Two questions- which one(s) do we want to do and who's willing to go to the effort to make it happen? email me at CCrazyTom@hotmail.com if you're interested divying the labor up. (for instance one person looks for and resizes unit portraits and type descriptions of candidates, another edit the map and estimate populations and electoral votes... etc.)

Tom
I don't mind researching state populations for various times and determining electoral votes IF someone else would edit the map and send it to me.
broadwayboy87
I created the first Confederate Scenario. I partially based it on The Guns Of The South by making R E Lee run for the "Freedom Party" to free the slaves. I was going to base it completely on the book, but I thought no one would recognize it. I'm really happy that you all know his novels! I'll go ahead and take a crack at one of the suggestions on the top of this thread if it's okay with the people who suggested it. prufrock451
If you want an idea of Dorateo Arango's politics, you might look him up under his nom de guerre, Pancho Villa.
