C-Span has released a new presidential ranking, conducted by a wide range of historians: http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/all-time-best-president-united-states-rankings-235149?cmpid=sf In case, you don't want to read the whole article, presidents were judged in 10 categories: Public Persuasion, Crisis Leadership, Economic Management, Moral Authority, International Relations, Administration Skills, Relations with Congress, Vision/Setting an Agenda, Pursued Equal Justice for All, and Performance with Context of Times.
