  1. New poll: It might be helpful to know the following: Mississippi is among the least healthy states in the Union. It gets the most money from the government as a percentage to it's general revenue, making it the state that relies most on the Federal government. Mississippi is 37% African-American and 59% White. Traditionally the state has been home to leading Slave Power advocates and segregationists, as well as African-American Civil Rights Activists and activists for the poor. Massachusetts is one of the healthiest states. It gets relatively very little money from the federal government; thus, it is more self-sustaining. It his 8% African-American and 83% White. Traditionally the state has been home to leading abolitionists, women's rights activists, environmentalists, labor activists, and is the birthplace and home of many of our leading innovators, authors, scientists, and public intellectuals.

    Corey Stewart as VA Senator

Corey Stewart has declared his candidacy for the 2018 Senatorial election in Virginia. A few months ago in the Gubernatorial election he lost by a few points in the Republican primary to Gillespie.
  4. Happy 4th! Who were your favorite founding fathers? You can submit write-in votes. Let's see who is the most popular Founding Father! You can also check out my blog post on the Founding Fathers: https://historymonocle.com/2016/03/24/litany-for-the-founding-fathers/
  5. Here's a poll on Progressive legislation. Let me be clear that I believe someone can be a progressive and fiscally conservative (at least, somewhat), but they can't be progressive and socially conservative (or at least, I fail to find a case that it can be). In some ways, I'd imagine Jon Huntsman, though a Republican, would come off as a progressive Republican, in the sense that he would aim to improve lives through government, and innovate and reform in the process. That's just an example of a "progressive Republican" for anyone thinking that I'm tying Progressivism only to liberals. I do not see the terms as interchangable. I think liberals can be anti-Progressive. Anyway, here's a poll. I hope one of my conservative friends on this board can make a similar poll with traditional and current conservative legislation. There may be a few cases of overlap, of course, since even a conservative and a progressive may agree on something from time-to-time.
  6. Roughly, do you support the government entitlement programs, have you benefited from them, and do you think they should be expanded, decreased or abolished? If you are not a resident of the US, you can still take this poll using the entitlement that is closest to that of your own country -- @Patine @HomosexualSocialist @wolves @Conservative Elector 2, etc.
  7. A new poll. Please comment on your thoughts below.
  8. Everyone that gets a majority in this poll will run in their respective primaries starting as an undecided (except for Gilmore who will be On). On May 1st, these results will be final and I will begin working on the Jim Gilmore 2012 scenario which will feature these candidates, the story, as well as events for the story (similar to @vcczar's fantastic 2020 scenario). The scenario will be released to the public, either when I am done or after Jim Gilmore Eternal Dictator "season 2" is finished.
  9. How many have you been to. Feel free to list those I couldn't list in the comments below.

This round will have Le Pen against Hamon. I have debated on wither or not to have @Biden Should've Run vote shift from Fillon to Macron. Had I shifted the vote, we would see a 3-way race in the final round [Hamon 6 votes, Le Pen 5 votes, Macron 5 votes, after shift].

I've decided to do it again this year since there are a lot of new active users on the forum. I'm going to do it a little different this year. I feel that my third question on most of those polls wasn't very helpful in determining a ranking, so this year the poll will have more substance. Also the wording will be different this year. Last year I asked, "what policies would you have likely supported." This time the phrasing will be more about whether or not you think a policy will be good for a president's legacy, which is slightly different. I will still have a question asking about your overall approval of a president. Please let me know if you will be interested in conducting the polls for this year, and I'll tag your username to each poll so you get the notification. Also, let me know if you are not interested, and I'll remove your username from my list of tagged usernames. Likewise, if you are not tagged in this threat, and you wish to take part in the polls, then I can add you to my list. It will be interesting to see how this year's ranking will compare to last year's. Lastly, Trump will be added to this year's polls; although, he will only be ranked for what he has accomplished at the time the poll is conducting. I plan on doing only one presidential poll per week; thus, Trump will have had nearly a year's worth of presidency.
