The next update better have Mr Fishfinger.

I agree! I did wonder why a man dressed as a fish finger, of all things, was standing against Tim Farron. For anyone as poorly informed as myself, it was due to a twitter poll which suggested that the twitterati would trust a fish finger over Mr Farron: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3381600/tim-farron-will-have-to-defeat-a-giant-fish-finger-after-crowd-funding-campaign-raised-1500-for-joke-candidate-to-stand-against-him-in-snap-election/

This guy got more votes then the ukip guy on another note. p/s this guy needed to be added in the next update.

Lord Buckethead didn't quite manage as many votes as the UKIP candidate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maidenhead_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2010s

Not a bad result, though :D.

Won't he lose that job when Brexit is fully negotiated? I mean won't his European Parliament seat (and all British European Parliament) seats, cease to exist?

I believe that UK MEP's will still get their pensions, with Nigel Farage having been in the parliament for sometime. I've also seen him frequently on Fox news, which is presumably another source of income.

  3. I have a signed copy of "Flying Free" :D. It is an interesting insight into the goings on in UKIP and if you're interested in finding out more about Nigel Farage, from his perspective, then I'm sure you'd like it. I would advise that you get "Purple Revolution" which seems to be an update of "Flying Free" released in advance of the 2015 election.

1997 is online. Let me know if there are any changes that could be made to improve it.

A good choice of scenario, which I'm throughly enjoying :). Just one small criticism, as a campaigner for UKIP Nigel Farage has a Henley barnstorming bonus despite there being no UKIP candidate in Henley.

  5. I've played through '83 a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sure that I'll find the '87 one enjoyable too. I might suggest making the Alliance leaders into one candidate and averaging out their stats, as Treasurer of the PC did in his scenarios for Prime Minister Forever. Thank you for taking the time to produce these scenarios and for sharing them :).

As for future scenarios I would suggest 1979 as a good one as it would be in chronological order, which might mean less work for you. You might also be able to cannibalise parts of the scenario made for Prime Minister Forever, as you have acknowledged doing for the 1983 scenario.

  6. Were you planning adapting this to Forever or Infinity? I would suggest having the alternative leaders as the leaders of the campaigns which competed for designation, such as Arron Banks for Leave.eu. Here is a report naming some of the campaigns which competed for designation as the "lead campaign": http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36038672. The Electoral Commission "score-card" link within that link doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

  7. I would suggest that Prime Minister Infinity UK is a strong contender for the "ugly duckling" title- it is slow and fiddly, with only one campaign. I haven't bought Congress Infinity but an increased number of campaigns certainly wouldn't discourage me (or anyone else I'd imagine). Take my opinion with a pinch of salt, particularly as a non-owner of the game, but of all the campaigns you have proposed your German Reichstag scenario intrigues me the most.

  8. And if you feel that the process of making a large scenario is cumbersome, you could of course use maps from the "regional" scenarios to create a 2010 (or other) scenario that just plays around a region. It would presumably also have the effect of making gameplay quicker.

  9. The error doesn't seem to happen at a set point. I have had it happen when creating just one crusader but more often than not it happens when creating multiple crusaders. It happens when I hit the "create" button. The game does allow me to play on after I have hit the button but I get the same "Access violation" error each time I try to create a crusader from that point onwards. I've attached links to two images I have captured showing the same error, however I am sure that I have had slightly different "Access violation" errors before. I hope that this is of some help.

  10. On PMI Canada edition I am getting "Access violation" errors across various campaigns when trying to create crusaders. I am sometimes able to create one or two and then the error pops up, although sometimes I can just create one and then get the error. I am running the game on Windows 7 32 bit and the version I am playing is 2.2.2. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  11. @Patine,

Yes - if the Sinn Fein leadership decided to try to contest English constituencies, I don't think there's anything stopping them. If I'm wrong about this in terms of U.K. electoral law, I'm happy to be corrected.

There is a separate register for Northern Ireland parties. If you look for Sinn Fein in the register of political parties here: http://search.electoralcommission.org.uk/ you will see that they are registered in Northern Ireland only.

  12. It does seem to me that the Green Party is a bit too strong. They've hit double digits every time I've played. Once, they got as high as 11.3%. It just seems like they should be reigned in a bit.

I've noticed that, I gained as many as four seats with them. I'm sure that this will be resolved by the final release, though :) .
