  1. I reactivated my subscription to a couple 270soft games, and I'm really enjoying the improvements since I last played these games, but yeah, what happened to the spacebar function? why was it replaced with the "n" key?

It might sound like a small thing, but I'm so used to navigating the game and moving forward through turns by pressing the spacebar.

  2. Great scenario, thanks! This is just as good as those Premier Forever games a while back!

Though when I try to access the leaders page of the Campaign Editor, it crashes and I can't edit it properly. I get this error...

    Could this be fixed?

  3. I don't collect autographs or take photos of celebrities when I meet them. For some reason, I feel like I'm burdening people when I do that. Here are some famous people that I have met, generally by random chance.

    Yeah, same.

I've met quite a few politicians, though, given that I live in a pretty swing-y BC riding. Trudeau, Harper (who was actually really a nice guy), and Kim Campbell are all on my lists.

Oh, and a few months ago I also met the runner up to the 2012 South Korean Presidential election. What a weird happenstance thing that was.

  4. Perhaps I'm thinking too deep and conspiratorially, but I just can't help but shake the feeling that Trump is a Clinton plant. They were great friends, and the Clintons attended his wedding.

Heck, 16 years ago in 2000 when he was gearing up for a Reform party run, he was closer to Bernie Sanders then anything else. Single payer healthcare, higher taxes on the rich, pro choice, etc.

Donald Trump is deeper and smarter than he obviously is letting on to. The man is a genius, and possibly an evil genius at that. Then again, it probably doesn't take much to tap into the well of conservative anger. Reminds me of the late and great Enoch Powell more than anything.

  5. I have to say I really liked the setup/moderator of this debate. I don't know if it's because it was on CBS, but it seemed far more sober of a discussion. The set was low-key and didn't have bright colored lights behind the candidates or a huge Air Force One in the background.

But anyway, I think Sanders did really well this time. He definitely improved from last debate.

  6. Maybe even get more aggressive than that in a "career" mode - have detailed levels down to each state and start in a state of your choice running for Congressman, Senator, and/or Governor before moving on to the Presidency. Have a "national" sort of ticker that keeps track of trends (somewhat random) on the national level so that perhaps you need to decide do you run for that second term as governor to make yourself a better presidential candidate or run for the Presidency at that time because your party is on the upswing. Other candidates would affect this as well, with a good real example being Chris Christie - had he run in 2012 he probably stood a good chance to get the nod. Now, not so much.

Many moons ago there was a game called "Election Day" that was made by a professor named John Gastil. It was like that, where, you could save a candidate, and move up from School Board to President. Neat game, too bad it's been mothballed.

It's super hard to find, but it might be up your alley, if you can get your hands on it.

  7. Oh boy, imagine this scenario in real life.

The party with the largest number of votes getting third place in seats, while the last party in terms of votes get's to form the government? Yikes. I can only imagine the number of people who would be disenfranchised with the process... I'm sure proportional representation would be a new found priority for the Tories.

  8. Who are the other leaders? I recognize Trudeau, Mulcair, Harper, May, and Duceppe- but not anyone else.

Those are the alternate leaders you can pick, they came with the newest update.

The Tories have Jason Kenney, Peter MacKay, and Lisa Raitt.

The NDP has Brian Topp, Nathan Cullen, and Peggy Nash.

Then the Liberals have Marc Garneau as an alt.

And finally the Greens have Gord Miller as their only alt leader.
