  1. I'm sure you are aware that by editing the .xml files it is possible to add multiple districts to the same region which allows UK Council Elections with a number of wards in each area possible along with a primary ballot to pick the leading councillor to work very well. Maybe this could be built upon for a Prime Minister Forever 2015 UK Version. That could make a last ditch leadership challenge a month before the election shake up the main campaign. Just imagine three weeks before the campaign starts both Clegg and Cameron being ousted leaving Labour to take on a 'headless coalition' with n

  3. "TGameEngine::ProcessEndOfRoundServer () Code=12 Floating point division by zero." Any idea about what this error refers to? incorrect text, duplicate numbers etc?
  4. TGameEngine::ProcessEndOfRoundServer () Code=12 Floating point division by zero. Just downloaded the 1.63 test release and received this error during a primary campaign? I've never seen this before and only happens on this particular campaign (a self creation). Any ideas?? Btw. the updates look really good
  5. Hi, I am aware the last update displayed each candidate in their respective consituency (Lalor - Gillard, Warringah - Abbott) - however when election night comes round each constituency only shows the party leader as its candidate. Is there a setting to enable each constituency's candidate to be displayed on election night? Cheers
  6. It was the endorsers file - but I found that using the 1972 election is good for a base scenario (two parties with one leader each and two endorsers).
  7. This is driving me crazy now, when ever I have created a new scenario since the latest update i keep getting Access Violations when I begin a new game despite no errors being shown in the editor. All I have done is remove the minor parties, only have a single region and have one endorser (I want to test it like that first). It was always fine before the update.

That sounds good - Would that extend to map editing like campaigns forever?
  9. Hi, I am wondering if there is anyway to use the regional cut-off on a national scale. I know it is possible to have a threshold for Regions and US States but was wondering whether that could be expanded to the whole country so even for example if a candidate gets 10% in multiple districts but only 4% overall it would not win delegates due to a 5% national threshold. Thanks
  10. Update - I think i've found a few ways to tone down the scandals. Firstly make sure the general election day is a significant way away from the primary vote. Second edit this line in scenario.xml - chance_scandal_exhausts_itself_per_day 10 10 equaling 10% chance. Interestingly 99% tones it down very well - still leaving room for big scandals to manifest.
  11. Voter fraud would be superb for dictatorships and their show elections - 97% of the vote here we go!
  12. Thats very interesting that they are considering such an option
  13. That is very strange, as when doing this, only a few days in to the primary campaign the leading party/candidate gets a massive corruption scandal and other strong candidates get campaign collapses due to leadership issues. It makes no sense as the one who gets hit the most has 5s in all stats and least corrupt etc. Plus all candidates are in coalition with each other so I have no idea who researches these scandals on who? FPP also causes the same problem as PR?? Any ideas
  14. Hi, Does any one know of a way to disable scandals apart from reducing the corruption attribute as I'm testing something with PR primaries and the number of scandals is ridiculous - i.e. loss in momentum by 9 points minimum for most parties. Thanks
  15. Thats good to hear - It really is an excellent project for those with a political interest
  16. Hi, I imagine this has been asked before but are there any plans to implement more forms of PR in to the game engine for those countries that operate with list systems i.e. Israel. The German System can work well but still has its limitations. While using Campaigns Forever you can nearly create PR elections with threasholds by using the Primaries system as the General election. It works but a human party always hits negative momentum and always loses tonnes of votes and seats. Could an such a system work by focusing on indiviual votes rather than targeting seats, e.g. Each region represents

  18. I am using version 1.4.7, as far as I can tell all the new party names are in the new preference_voting.xml file?
  19. Hi, I've just downloaded the latest PM4E Australia 2013 program and am in the process of creating a new scenario through the campaign editor and editing XML files. With two parties i have no problems but when I add more, I am unable to view the Two-Party Preference Votes. It is very strange as there are more than two parties in the standard 2013 scenario in Australia. As well as this I have made sure that the 'preference_voting.XML' is exactly like the Australia 2013 file. Everytime I click on the Preference vote button the software gives me this message. Access violation at address 005A1A3E
  20. Me again but this time I have solved it! If anyone else has this problem you should make one region declare at the default time of 1600 - this for some reason solves the problem.
  21. The only way I've dealt with it is to make all regions declare at the same time.
  22. Unfortunately, the problem is still there. What happens is that the clock on election night will not advance, so any region declaring after the earliest will not give a result
  23. Hi, I've just bought Campaigns forever and President Forever 2008 + Primaries and am very impressed, However I have encountered a strange problem with a scenario i've created with 'Campaigns Forever'. The scenario works properly but on election night it doesn't state the percentage of a region reporting and just says 'X number of electoral votes at stake" and not "4% reporting" etc. This has caused the regions not being correctly allocated to each candidate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
