  1. Something like Free Speech or Government Reform?
  2. If you edit the scenario file; there's a line that lets you turn it on or off.
  3. Me too, if you don't mind.

  5. I'm sure this has been raised before, and it might not be do-able, but online multiplayer would be awesome. Keep up the good work, guys!
  6. Never designed a scenario, so I can't be of much help, but this is an idea I've always wanted to see!
  7. I'm no expert on Jamaican politics, but I don't think it was really a factor one way or another. I wouldn't have him as an endorser, though. I don't think it was something actively sought, just something that kind of happened.
  8. One of the news reports indicated one of the more prominent MP's fathers (It may be the incumbent PM, can't quite remember) was friendly with Coke's father, also a shady character, and led the funeral procession back in the late 80's. As for how damaging it would be, probably not very. The incumbent PM represents Tivoligardens, the neighborhood Coke's gangs are strongest in; the endorsement was probably regarded as part of normal politics.
  9. Is anyone from here on there, do you know?
  10. I didn't get it...Would you mind resending it?
  11. Don't forget Dr. Richard Taylor as the Independent (Health Concern, technically) MP for Wyre Forest. I'm pretty sure he's standing for re-election, although with all three major parties also standing candidates, he might have more difficulty winning this time around.
  12. I'd like to give it a try, if you'd be so kind:
  13. As of the current year (2009 in the scenario), is Ayati still a Dominion, ie, with a Governor-General? Or does it mirror India in that it became a Republic extremely quickly?
  14. I'm quite looking forward to the Anitgua scenario!
  15. If it's done, I'd like to give it a shot. Could you please send me a copy as well?
  16. Was there a swing to Sinn Fein in the late 90's and early 00's, or was it more that nationalists/republicans were abandoning the SDLP? I've never been quite able to figure that out. Did people just become more extreme in their politics? The DUP surpassed the UUP in that era as well...
  17. I'm more up-to-date on mainland British politics, so EGaffney may be able to correct me, but I think the expenses scandal will probably take a backseat to Gerry Adams' family troubles [questions about his brother] on the Sinn Fein side and the Iris Robinson scandal (are they really calling it Irisgate?) on the Democratic Unionist side. Again, I'm not an expert, but that's the way it looks to me.
  18. Maybe something like "Role of the People" or "Governmental Structure".
  19. Also, isn't the Earl of Dartmouth a former member of the House of Lords? I thought he lost his seat after the Lords reforms in the late '90's. As far as I know, only members of the Lords who still hold their seat are precluded from sitting in the Commons, not those who just have the title.
  20. I think the best way to handle the UUP would be to put them in coalition with the Tories, and to not have any Conservative candidates in the NI seats.
  21. I'm not sure if you're looking for VP candidates yet, but if you want some kind of regional balance with southeastern candidates, might I suggest either Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) or Mike Beebe (D-AR)? Beebe was only elected Governor in 2006, so I doubt he would be prominent enough for a Presidential run, and Pryor just doesn't seem prominent enough. But they could be useful counterweights to a Pacific coast Democartic nominee. If you still want to scratch Klobuchar, you could try Sen. Blanche Lincoln: replaces one female Dem-Rep with another, and adds one from the Southeast (Arkansas).
  22. If you're going to scratch one, I'd go with Madigan--she's nowhere near high-profile enough to be viable. She might make a potential VP candidate, but I think that might even be a stretch right now. Cantwell seems like a good choice.
  23. Candidate list looks good to me! Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
