  1. Agreed. I happen to disagree with @PoliticalPundit's analysis, but he's been much more civil than @Patine has been lately. You've got to calm down, man. The personal attacks left and right have got to stop. Look at how @vcczar responded - pointed out a perceived flaw in reasoning and politely explained why he finds that to be an important part of the argument. It's very civil, even though you can tell that @vcczar and @PoliticalPundit are disagreeing. V clearly states he disagrees with the assessment, in fact. Likewise, just the other day I was a clown and thought something was unconstitu

  2. Today Vienna elects a new state parliament (100 seats) and all 23 districts of Vienna elect new district councils. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Viennese_state_election The first results will be in, in about an hour.

  3. I finished my poll of polls model finally, and I have a congressional districts extrapolation model, I will start with Vermont, we have >10%, >7.5% > 5.0% > 2.5% > 0.0%, with colors representing them. I expect to put every state today. At first I am assuming that all CD have the same population, after, I will adapt with the real populations, but only when I finish every cd EDIT... I will need to restart, I discovered a big problem in the projections. Seems that the race will be much more close than I thinked. EDIT 2 , LETS GO! Alabama 59.9% GOP, 35.6% DEM CD1 61.4%

  8. That depends. In covid related affairs I'd welcome more action. I'd say the SPÖ might fit you best, although the Greens are more progressive. Even if I were left of the centre I couldn't vote for the Greens. Some examples: One of their biggest concerns in the covid summer was to build an expansive large outdoor pool... how out of touch can a party be? Additionally they destroyed a huge shopping street in Vienna by banning cars from it. The reality is, there is no traffic management anymore, but cars are still driving through. It got more dangerous but didn't improve quality of life. T

  10. Maybe at a local level. God, I hope not. Yeah, Phil Scott would be in there. Almost any Republican than can be popular statewide in an extremely Blue state would probably pass my test.

  12. Yay! It's always fun to watch the results of elections that have no immediate impact of my life, because I don't have to stress about the results!

  14. Considering the alternative is a Trump-era Republican, I’ve voted for every Democrat. The only Republicans I’d ever consider would be Charlie Baker, Larry Hogan, and Jon Huntsman. That’s only if the Democrat was a Trump version of a Democrat or an old school Southern Dem that never left their party and never changed their ideals. If it were a Trump version Democrat vs a social conservative, I’ll vote 3rd party. There’s never an instance I’ll vote for anyone that is right of center socially.

  15. Interesting, thanks. If I had known that, I had put Love Jr. into the poll as an option as well.

  17. Oops, my bad. Taking a cursory glance at their websites, I'd say Warnock is my favorite of the three, though I probably prefer any of them over any of the Republicans.

  18. In what way? Impersonating individual voters at the polls is a terribly inefficient way to affect elections. Any kid who wants to drink can get a fake ID with ease, somebody with the resources to throw an election would have no trouble doing so. Poll workers aren't trained to spot fake ID's. I miss the days when conservatives were against the government tracking everything you do.

  19. Patine does the same to me on this forum. Honestly, the best course of action is to laugh and move on. He is who he is, and he isn't going to change. If it helps, he does not have a wide band of respect on this forum, for behavior exactly like this.

  22. Yeah, Killdozer was probably the most "peaceful" (lol, oxymoronic) terrorist attack that I personally know of. Sad that some people end up so alienated by society that they think that is the only recourse they have to fix a situation.

  24. Well, he killed himself. But otherwise yes no other lives were lost and he was trying to prove a point but the general nature of the event and the destruction would fall into the category.

  25. If my memory is correct, no lives were lost in the killdozer incident. I think that the guy was a Catholic, and just wanted to prove a point without harming anyone innocent. A shame what some people end up doing just to make a point...

  30. What did I do exactly besides IGNORE YOUR POST which you then continually HARASSED me about you autistic loser? I didn't throw a "fucking punch" you moron I ignored your harassment. I hope you don't do this w women in your life or you're either a virgin or have a restraining order placed against you. You are the most aggressive dysfunctional poster I've witnessed online and that's saying something. 31. Done. Voter suppression is a VERY big problem in the U.S. Alongside other factors, like the antiquated Electoral College, the BIPARTISAN, not non-partisan, FEC, and it's funding rules, ballot access flaming hoops to jump through in many States for non-Duopoly parties, Primary focus, even in public electoral systems, on Duopoly Primaries virtually exclusively, "sore loser," laws, incentives for media to exclusively focus on Duopoly coverage, marginalizing other party coverage, and the Federal courts that judge any regularities in electoral matters made up completely of justices selecting for pa

  33. This is true. We've had a number of immigration cases where South African Afrikaners arrived in Canada and applied for political asylum, and were basically told, circumspectly and in paraphrasing, that because they were White, and were coming from South Africa, there's no way their claim is genuine. Frankly, atrocity, injustice, and other of the worst aspects of humanity can, theoretically be committed by, and against, any inborn demographic - despite certain modern taboos and stereotypes. We are all the same species - humanity - and made of the stuff and with the same base nature.
