Question about early Primaries

Recommended Posts

The candidate that wins an early primary gets a favorable news story (with a certain + value momentum) Is there a way of changing how much of a bump you get? It seems that the Iowa/New Hampshire contests don't get the same amount of bump that the do in the real world. Is there a place to set these values? Also, some candidates get momentum for doing better than expected in a primary (That would only apply to Iowa and New Hampshire) Right now only the winner gets the momentum(regardless of how narrow the victory)

Yes, there is a way to change how much of a bump a candidate gets for winning a primary or caucuses - and we will be adding it to Campaigns Forever soon.

The 'expectations game' is important, as you noted. It's also hard to simulate. We'll think about it.
