Senate and House races going on in background

Recommended Posts

I was thinking as a game feature it would be cool to have Senate and House races going on in the background. It would add some more dynamic surprises to the game. Especially if the election goes to a new congress that has switched sides or had several close races etc. It should be easy enough to incorporate. THough you won't have direct control over these races they would make the game ever more interesting and reflect a more realistic election night. :D

it would be hard u have to find actual senators and possible challengers u would have to also use common sense (like there are some senators who will just never lose)

I agree with HRC it would be hard to do, but would make the game more fun

Also, if you run a very strong campaign maybe congress can get "coat tails help" and maybe help you party win back congress...which would help you if there is no EV winner.

Perhaps this would make the game more of a 'politics simulator' rather than an election simulator

Is this desirable?

As long as its an option you can turn on and off, like with Regionalism and Fog of War, I can't see how that should be a problem?
