Add North Carolina Senator Richard Burr to the VP list. He was invited out to McCain's Arizona ranch last weekend and I have heard sources that he is on the short list.

Just as a heads up, I doubt Ernie Fletcher is on anyone's VP list as he lost the race for Ky governor this past November. Also, Bob Taft was the least popular governor in the nation during his time in office and was pretty much single handedly responsible for the Republicans loss of power in Ohio.

I would add Ralph Nader (he announced that he is running) in the next version. it would also be good to have 3rd party primaries

EDIT: How about adding John Edwards (if not already there), Ron Paul and Dennis Kucunich [sp] as VP candidates?

It seems to me that your list is rather old. Charlie Crist is the new Governor of Florida, Tim Kaine is the Governor of Virginia. Both of them would be high on the list of either party. Mark Warner will not be picked, given that he is going to be the next Senator from Virginia.
