@Actinguy Either way, I'm fairly certain that Osgood is Secretary of the Navy now.

Oh my god noooooo.

I literally just spent 45 minutes wrapping my head around the best options for all the cabinet positions, examining it from every angle -- and I was looking at an old copy of the excel sheet.

Also, that's so much worse because it means Mr. "one ability point" Granger is the damned Chief Admiral.  What was I thinking?

Wait, Gideon apparently doesn't even have Navy ability.  Which means he wasn't eligible for the position. There were no points awarded for the position since it was in the middle of the coup and he didn't actually do anything in the position, and since he's apparently not allowed to be Chief Admiral anyway, any objections to just stripping him of the post?

Alexander Hamilton is still not your Secretary of the Navy, it is still Samuel Osgood

Sam Osgood was his previous Sec of Navy, but now I have to pick a new cabinet as we've had an election.

If Alex is not interested, I'll consider other statesmen -- Alex is just my top pick.

That wouldn't make sense, an election doesn't reset the cabinet.

...it does, though.  According to the game rules, I'm only allowed to keep a maximum of half of my cabinet (which is pretty realistic, extremely few Cabinet Members actually stay on for a full 8 years)

Please let us know if you're accepting your cabinet positions, so we can start the Senate vote.  Thank you!

Morris would accept if Alex does not.
