PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 1800

@WVProgressive Former President Sam Adams: 1
@Actinguy President James Jackson: 9
@Actinguy Vice President Richard Bache: 2
@Kingthero: Senator John Milledge: 8

@Reagan04: Representative Noah Webster: 5
@Conservative Elector 2 Party Leader and former Secretary John Marshall: 7
@Herbert Hoover: Senator and Former Vice President John Adams: 7.

We have a contested result!

All players now choose between the top three recipients...and because third place is a tie, I'll say top four recipients:
@Actinguy President James Jackson
@Kingthero Senator John Milledge
@Conservative Elector 2 Party Leader & Former Secretary John Marshall
@Herbert Hoover Senator & Vice President John Adams.

ALL players please say which of the four candidates you are backing.  The winner will be the candidate with the most total VP backing them.  The remaining three will be in the running for VP, which will be selected by the Senate after the Senate is filled in the 10 PM tonight election.

Adding @SilentLiberty @Hestia11 @vcczar

James Jackson.

Actually, we might have to do some debate in the Federalist chat. Don't mark any of us down for certain until the opposition has answered please 😛

(I question how much I'm allowed to do this...)

How about Marshall instead.

Sorry, you're only allowed to switch to supporting Jackson.

Haha, no worries.  I think shifting support around is probably a realistic reflection of how things would go.

PRESIDENT:  Though the contest is hotly contested, and sees both former President Adams and former Vice President Also Adams strongly supported, President James Jackson is ultimately (re?) elected in a nail biter of an election.

VICE PRESIDENT: This is still a toss-up between Former President Sam Adams, former VP John Adams, and Senator John Milledge.  It will go to the newly elected/appointed Senate.  Vice President Bache is no longer in the running, so he retires to his Father In Law's Louisiana.

FOCUS GOVERNOR:

New England:
@Conservative Elector 2 Speaker Oliver Ellsworth 5 + 5 = 10
@Reagan04 John Taylor Gilman 7 + 6 = 13
@WVProgressive Arthur Fenner 7 + 4 = 11
@Actinguy Joseph B Varnum 3 + 2 = 5
@Hestia11 Christopher Ellery 1 + 2 = 3

@Reagan04 John Taylor Gilman wins!

Mid Atlantic:
@SilentLiberty John F Mercer 3 + 1 = 4
@Conservative Elector 2 Thomas Willing 3 + 4 = 6
@Reagan04: Alexander Hamilton 10 +  2 = 12
@WVProgressive Jeremiah Van Renssel 2 + 3 = 5
@Actinguy Dewitt Clinton 10 +  4 = 14
@Hestia11 William Pinkney 2 + 3 = 5

@Actinguy Dewitt Clinton wins!

Upper South:
@Herbert Hoover John Eager Howard 4 + 5 = 9
@Conservative Elector 2 John Marshall 6 + 1 = 7
@Reagan04: Alfred Moore 1 + 2 = 3
@WVProgressive Patrick Henry 6 + 5 = 11
@Actinguy Horatio Gates 2 + 2 = 4
@Hestia11 Richard Dobbs Spaight 3 + 6 = 9
@Kingthero Isaac Shelby 7 + 3 = 10

@WVProgressive Patrick Henry wins!

Deep South
@Conservative Elector 2 Joseph Habersham 3 + 1 = 4
@Reagan04 WIlliam Moultrie 3 + 6 = 9
@Actinguy Pierce Butler 1 + 5 = 6
@Hestia11 Abraham Baldwin 2 + 1 = 3
@Kingthero Charles Pinckney 6 + 1 = 7

@Reagan04 William Moultrie wins!

FOCUS REP

@SilentLiberty Paine Wingate 1
@Herbert Hoover Samuel Dexter 4
@WVProgressive Thomas Paine 3
@Actinguy Levi Lincoln 5
@Kingthero David Stone 6

@Kingthero David Stone wins.

I'll start working on the Senators tonight.

I'm going to assume that @Reagan04 fills the slots with Federalists -- if that turns out not to be the case, the following will change:

Federalists retake the Senate, 15 seats to 13 seats, which is close enough to require all Senators to vote.  @Reagan04 Rufus King reclaims his seat as Senate Majority Leader.  Albert Gallatin is demoted to Minority Leader.

Democrat Republicans take the House for the first time in American History -- though every Representative will still need to vote, as it's 54% - 46%.  Peter Muhlenberg is promoted to Speaker.  @Conservative Elector 2 Oliver Ellsworth is downgraded to House Minority Leader.

Party Leaders:  President Jackson keeps his position as leader of the Democrat Republicans.  @Conservative Elector 2 John Marshall may retain leadership of the Federalists, if you are so inclined.

Okey doke.  You and @Conservative Elector 2 work on your committee picks.  Remember Budget is 2 Reps and 1 Senator.  I’ll work on mine as well.

Also, everyone can now make their VP pick between Sam Adams, John Adams, and John Milledge.  Candidate with the most Senate votes wins.

I vote for VP @Kingthero John Milledge.

That's enough for tonight.  Please get your Focus Senator picks in, everyone.  @Reagan04 appoint two more Senators, @Conservative Elector 2 indicate whether you are keeping the party leadership spotlight.

Marshall will continue to serve.

I'll be busy for most of today, until around 9 PM.  In the meantime, if everyone can get in their Focus Senator nominations, choose their committees (for those who can), and update the "Main" tab to reflect their statesmen's job changes, that would be extremely helpful.  Thank you all!

My New England Focus Senator nominee depends on the VP election, so I'll have to hold on that for now.

Ok.  I think we're only waiting on one more Federalist player to vote, right?  If the four of you are indeed in unison on the VP choice, you'll win it.

I don't have any senators, prior you said it was based off senators.

Ah!  I didn't actually look at who had the senators, just by party.

In that case, I believe John Adams has indeed won the VP vote.

Ecstatic to serve once again.

He once served under the humble yet great commander Washington.

And now, under the self serving and kinda mediocre Jackson.

Let's see how this administration differs ;)

Careful.  He killed the last White House resident he disagreed with.  ;c)
