I believe I appointed all focus admirals, so I'll figure out which one was missing.

Osgood was appointed but became Sec. of Navy after his appointment. I am not sure if a replacement have been named.

Oh, good point.  I'll find a replacement, for the History.

It will be very odd if Samuel Adams wins election.

Jackson has an extremely slight advantage against any head-to-head competitor...but with 7 candidates so far (and possibly an 8th if @Hestia11 submits one)...literally anything could happen, especially with Sam and Milledge rolling D10s against our D6s.

I physically can't fill this out until later tonight, so I will probably have to sit out the Presidential election.

I did say everyone had until 10 PM tonight, so if you'd like us to wait for you, I'm happy to.

I don't think any of my people are in a good place to run Presidentially. I may have some other nominees though, so if you want to run the Presidential race that's fine with me.

Ok.  I'll run the Presidential race now and I'll run the other races around 10 PM tonight.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 1800

@WVProgressive Former President Sam Adams: 1
@Actinguy President James Jackson: 9
@Actinguy Vice President Richard Bache: 2
@Kingthero: Senator John Milledge: 8

@Reagan04: Representative Noah Webster: 5
@Conservative Elector 2 Party Leader and former Secretary John Marshall: 7
@Herbert Hoover: Senator and Former Vice President John Adams: 7.

We have a contested result!

All players now choose between the top three recipients...and because third place is a tie, I'll say top four recipients:
@Actinguy President James Jackson
@Kingthero Senator John Milledge
@Conservative Elector 2 Party Leader & Former Secretary John Marshall
@Herbert Hoover Senator & Vice President John Adams.

ALL players please say which of the four candidates you are backing.  The winner will be the candidate with the most total VP backing them.  The remaining three will be in the running for VP, which will be selected by the Senate after the Senate is filled in the 10 PM tonight election.

Haha, that's fair.  I'll back President Jackson, who saved us from the Ottoman Conspiracy and led a truly bipartisan two years.  He boosted our economy with a Compromise Tariff, and despite being a Southerner, he signed into law the ban on Exporting Slaves.  A true hero of the people!

If Jackson loses it will be a referendum on his coup, most likely.

That's true. I just realized he's only 43 and English-born. However, he was in the US at the time of the creation of the US Constitution so, like Hamilton and Gallatin, he's counts as a natural born citizen.
