Thomas Jefferson resigns as Postmaster General, citing that he is unwilling to work with a President that won't even consult his cabinet on top issues like statehood. He tells the other cabinet members that letting Ohio become a state without doing the same for Tennessee is reprehensible. He slams the partisanship of the President, and goes back to Monticello to prepare his next moves.

Ellsworth is ashamed of Jefferson's naked partisanship. He upheld his end of the deal, Jefferson asked to increase the amount of states, Ellsworth did, and Jefferson still refuses to uphold his end of the bargain, it is a shame that honesty is dead in today's politicians.

@Herbert Hoover Alright then consider the Ohio Statehood and Slave Tax the next thing on the agenda for the Federalists, also I don't know if I said but the Midnight Judges Act from last term failed.

Who will be proposing them?

Also, @Hestia11 @SilentLiberty @WVProgressive

Do you require any time to plan your next move before we move on? If a revolt is coming it would not make any sense for legislation to be passed all at once just yet.

This brings up back to a big surplus, however some discontent Southerners vow never to vote for the Federalists Party again (-1 party support from dice roll, domestic tension -1)

Points will be updated at either the end of the term or if a region secedes.

On what grounds would a region secede exactly?

The same as the crisis at the beginning of the term, no deep Southerners in the cabinet.

Oh I see, I though as long as there was a Southerner then the whole South could not secede, that's certainly interesting, Ill keep that in mind for 1804.

John Milton (F-GA) will succeed Jefferson in the post of Postmaster General.
