New Rasmussen poll this weekend has Trump winning head to head against Bernie, Buttigieg, and Harris.

Biden winning over Trump.

Just one poll, months and months early.  But.........

Almost every poll on election week in 2016 had Trump losing. Food for thought...

The fact that Rasmussen has Biden winning means that he has a better shot than most of us probably thought. I don't think it spells that much for Bernie, Buttigieg, Harris, or any of the others for that matter. FiveThirtyEight gives them a C+ in terms of rating, with a 1.5 percent average bias towards Republicans. Anyone that was within 3 points shouldn't be counted out at all. On top of that there is a 1.5 percent polling error.

You have to remember Rasmussen is biased and almost always over-estimates the Republican vote. Maybe with Trump though the bias makes up for the Trump voters pollsters seem to miss.

My thoughts on both accounts.

But hasn't society and civilization REALLY fallen to a REAL low in terms of integrity, education of things that matter, thoughtfulness, discernment, and concern for the future that a vapid populist and showman who knows nothing of governance, ran a campaign of lies, bad stereotypes, and improbable promises, and cares far more for his own ego and self-promotion than the actual office he was elected to and the nation he's head of pulled enough of a scam and hoodwink of grand proportions to be elected U.S. President in the first place, and now is a serious and strong contender for re-election. What a dump society has descended to. *shakes head sadly for the world*

I think he's been an alright President.

Other than meeting with Kim Jong-un (which is a first), what has he DONE? What accomplishment can he take RESPONSIBLITY that is not just avoiding something stupid (which would be inaction), like sending a bunch of troops to Syria or declaring war on Russia? What has he ACTIVELY DONE that he can take CREDIT for? The strong economy is NOT due to anything HE'S done or any policy of HIS, and, in fact, his inexplicably, out-of-the-blue, pissing match trade wars are probably going to come back to ruin that before the election hits. Tax policy is so complex as to who benefits and who doesn't at any given time, how it affects the budget and needed government services, that his tax bill can't just be viewed as an absolute positive or negative. So, other than MEETING Kim Jong-un (but making no binding agreements), what has he DONE that's ACTIVELY POSITIVE?

You mean you're not blinded by the halo from all the American great-again-ness? I mean, a special prosecutor's report came out and he actually wasn't indicted for a crime! What a "big win" for the President!

Back in the '90's, I went to a show by the great (and, unfortunately, now late) show hypnotist, Philip Reveen. It was there that I learned, like a fairly large number of people in the world, for one reason or another, I was incapable of being hypnotized. And speaking of hypnosis, and odious, arrogant, overbearing, self-absorbed, materialistic, objectifying of women, domineering, and possibly not legally above board men (the '90's), this gem comes to mind.

Hate to break it to you bud but hypnotism isn't real. It's a bunch of attention-seekers pretending to be hypnotized because they see the rest of the group doing it. Good on you though for not falling for the bystander effect. Wish more people would stop being NPC's.

It was allegorical rhetoric, obviously, and lot softer and more flattering than using other words - like taken, naïve, hoodwinked, unthinking, gut-responsive, or abdicating all reason and concern for your nation's REAL future and prosperity.

Rasmussen polls are terrible. I wouldn't trust the head to head match ups they come up with.

In fairness to Rasmussen they were the closest in 2016 leading up to the election.

They said Clinton by 2, and She won by 1 in the pop vote.  Nobody else came that close.

Well, every pollster, even the highly biased ones, will beat out the others in their predictions every now and then. But Rasmussen doesn't have as strong a track record of accuracy as many others, all-in-all.
