Actually, who is the most obscure or non-mainstream Democrat available?

Probably Gabbard. Sanders is the only real non-mainstream. Warren is probably 3rd most divergent.

I think he meant minor politician, as in obscure in that sense. Outside of who most Americans knows in their mainstream domain of knowledge.

If that’s the case, Buttigieg or Delaney

Yep, I'd say Delaney.  Buttigieg might just be a mayor, but he's also a Veteran, the first openly LGBT candidate, is campaigning hard from the "millennial" angle as he's under 40 years old, etc.

Delaney is a former Representative nobody has ever heard of, is goofy looking, declared for President TWO YEARS ago, has made more than 200 trips through Iowa and New Hampshire, and yet he's still polling at ZERO percent.

If you're in the market for someone who absolutely will not win in real life, you're in the market for Delaney.

@vcczar

If there is a long delay, would you be able to moderate the game?

I propose @Actinguy to moderate the game if @Reagan04 can’t. I’m not a very good moderator I’ve learned, for things like this, which is why I’ve handed over each RP I’ve started. Reagan and @Kingthero have proven to be better moderators than myself. I propose acting guy because he’s done more playthrough of this game than I have already. However, I’d prefer Reagan to do this since I think his feedback will be more valuable since he’ll have moderated two games on here. The comparison and contrast between versions from a moderator’s point of view would be valuable.

I'll be starting right now, sorry for the delay everyone @CalebsParadox

Now, all the candidates must choose another candidate to attack in their Primary Debate and a demographic on which to attack that candidate!

Shouldn't this be a 4? "For challengers, all senators and governors start on War Chest Level 4."

I gave him a 3 because he's relatively unknown and has been out of office since 97. Lets be realistic here, Weld is one of the weaker campaigns in the field.

He was the Libertarian VP nominee. He was in the news often last election. Otherwise, I'd agree with you.

How many people, when asked now, would be able to tell you who the Democratic VP was?

Quite a few considering most voters voted for Clinton/Kaine.

I highly doubt this, I know you frequent very politically intuned circles but the majority of Americans have forgotten about Tim Kaine and the supermajority never even heard of Bill Weld in the first place. Gary Johnson sure, but not Weld.

@vcczar Conversation I just had with my Dad, a Hillary voter and one who is in tune with the Presidents dealings, moderately attentive to politics:

"Who was Hillary's running mate?"

"Christ I forgot."

"You don't know who you voted for Vice President?"

"No, remind me who was it?"

"Tim Kaine, and do you know who Bill Weld is?"

"No idea but I do vaguely remember Kaine"

"Weld was the Libertarian VP"

"I wouldn't have even known who he was at the time honestly"
