Colors for 2020 candidates.

Recommended Posts

Help select the colors for the 2020 candidates for the 2020 scenario. Maybe @admin_270 has a guide for this. I realize I got too many duplicate colors.

Here are the candidates. Copy + paste this list and give a specific color next to their names:

Republicans:

Trump

Kasich

Flake

Democrats:

Biden

Sanders

Warren

Booker

Harris

O'Rourke

Sh. Brown

Bloomberg

McAuliffe

Hickenlooper

Gillibrand

Klobuchar

Delaney

Swalwell

O'Rourke

Castro

Avenatti

Ojeda

I find that, in all P4E and PI scenarios with actual primaries in them, since primaries were included in the release of P4E2008 as an upgrade from P4E2004, which could only be played in the GE, every scenario I've seen, both official TheorySpark and fan-made ones, have had candidate colours (though usually not party colours) decided very arbitrarily, including in the ones I've made myself.

Republicans:

Trump: His Metallic Blue that he previously had suited him as a man of deviation and populism

Kasich: Signature Kasich Beige of Moderate's delight

Flake: Give him Ted's Regal Purple as a successor to principled conservatism

Democrats:

Biden: Give the old Bull Dog the classic Light Blue of the Blue Jean Collar working man

Sanders: The Ol' Sanders Dark Green as thick as a Vermont Forest

Warren: A woman of the people given dark Brown, the color of the common

Booker: Nothing but the brightest of red for a Roman warrior

Harris: A flourishing purple straight from the California wine

O'Rourke: And a lavish yellow for he who so walks under the Texas sun

Sh. Brown: An Industrial Gray for this man of Steel country

Bloomberg: I think a customary bright Pink is due for this man of neon media

McAuliffe: A bright green for the Clinton heir of great Democratic funding

Hickenlooper: An dark orange as deep as Colorado clay for this man of the soil

Gillibrand: How about an Army green for this female pioneer

Klobuchar: And for the woman of a thousand lakes goes the deep blue of Minnesota's aquatic jewels

Delaney: To Delaney goes the light Brown of his working class Mountainous district

Swalwell: And for him a shade of light pink fitting for a man of high class demeanor

Castro: For this former Obama official, an adornment of electric blue is proper

Avenatti: For the creepy porn lawyer nothing less than a spooky Halloween bright orange

Ojeda: And finally, for the fighting Blue Dog, nothing less than the black as deep as the coal he cracks is acceptable

One option is to use a color used by that candidate in their election bid. I have decided them fairly arbitrarily - the big problem is just getting enough distinct colors that you can tell who's leading in a region.

Yeah, that's the problem that I'm having. I wonder if there is something you can build into the editor that assigns a distinct color. I'm not sure how difficult that is to create.
