Question. Why is there suddenly now a Republican Party out of nowhere when, if Clay was President all this time, Slave Power would not have take deep political root and the initial reason for the creation of the Republican Party and the demise of Whig Party in the first place wouldn't have existed?

I'm going to edit and change this-From Republicans to Whigs,Cause I know it should of stayed the Whig party but would all Republicans stay Whigs in the future? That's were I was weary on changing it (As in would any future republican=a future whig)
