Republic of Scotland:

-Scottish People's National Party: Much more sharply left-leaning members of the original SNP merged with the Scottish Labour Party (except the hard British Unionists within that former party), RISE, and the Scottish branch of the TUSC, it is the main post-independence left-wing party.

-Scottish Heritage National Party: Mostly formed from the socially-right-wing cabal within the SNP, merged with the Scottish Conservative Party (except the hard British Unionists within that former party), the Scottish Christian Party, the Christian People's Party, the Free Scotland Party, the Scottish Democratic Alliance, Scottish Voice, and part of the Libertarian Party of Scotland, is the main post-independence right-wing party.

-Home Ground Party: Former members of the SNP without sharp ideological extreme platforms merged with the Scottish Liberal Democratic Party (except the hard British Unionists within that former party) and many member of the Libertarian Party of Scotland who did not join the SHNP, as well as a number of small and special interest parties, and is mostly centrist, but greatly promotes citizens' rights and property.

-Highlands and Islands Party: A party devoted to advocacy and promoting the interests of the Highlands, Orkney, and Shetland regions.

-Scottish Workers' Advocate Party: A further left but smaller party being a merger of the Solidarity Party of Scotland and the former Scottish branches of the Communist Party of Britain and the Socialist Equality Party of the UK.

-Scottish Jacobite Party: Not the same party as briefly existed between 2005 and 2008, but an actual monarchist party desiring to have a constitutional monarchy with one of the legitimate Jacobite heirs on the throne in Aberdeen Castle. A small party with limited support.

-Reunionist Party: Made up of members of the former A Better Britain - Unionist Party and hard Unionists in the former Scottish Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democratic Parties and non-Scottish Britons who remained, for one reason or another, north of the border after independence, that is pushing for a political reunion with the United Kingdom of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

-Scottish Green Party: The Scottish affiliate of the Global Greens.

The Celtic Nation Alliance also exists here, but as a pressure group, not a formal party, lobbying and encouraging parties and candidates to offer more support to the other five Celtic Nations and their independence or liberation struggles.

I have also made a few corrections and additions in some of the areas above, specifically in the Western North American Federation, Republic of Quebec, and United Kingdom of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland entries.

More to come. As always, comments and constructive criticism is always welcome.

@Patine For the rump US you might want to add an Acadian party active in northern Maine.

That is a possibility. Certainly, that is mentioned as an area claimed by the party as part of the "historical Acadia."

Alright, returning to something more productive than the mire that socio-political and economic debate has become of late (no single individual being blamed - just a general current tendency). I am currently assembling a list of who the main world leaders and other very important people will be in this fictional hypothetical future world - both those limited by elected mandates and those who are not - as of the "opening year" of 2048. A lot of them are pre-determined by me quite a while ago, but a fair number are undecided at this point.

I fail to understand what you need us to do.

It was more of a "stand by for an update" notice. Nothing was being asked of anyone at this point.

Alright, the decided world leaders in North America, as it stands, upon the "opening year" of 2048 - that is, the "incumbents" and other relevant leaders in this area, are as follows:

-President Nathan Krieger of the United States of America (rump successor nation) - A member in University of the Vermont Progressive Party and a powerful speaker and well-known to lack true ammunition for ethics scandals, he became Governor of Vermont in 2028 on a fusion Democratic-Vermont Progressive ticket, and helped the new Federal Progressive Party in the wake of the political turmoil surrounding President Arthur Greene's assassination in 2037 and the beginning of the political break-up of the U.S. through the 2030's and the economic turmoil of the Petroleum Market Crash and other events. Though only having served one term in office, being elected in 2044, he is not running for re-election, and thus begins in a lame duck term of office.

-President Robert Winchester of the Christian States of America - A U.S. Army General from Georgia who later was elected a Senator from that State, then a major advocate for the creation of the "new" CSA, a delegate to their Constitutional Convention, an inaugural Senator from Georgia to the new nation's Senate, and now President, having run on a joint party ticket representing the Conservative, Libertarian, and Prosperity Parties, and having the post-electoral support added by the Patriot Party.

-President Ryan Colden of the Republic of California - An Oakland-born U.S. Marine Corps captain before the secession of California and Nevada who was an activist for veteran rights and against unofficial "coerced religious evangelization" in U.S. Military ranks and U.S. military foreign policy and conduct, who was then a Park Ranger in Yosemite National Park after leaving military service, and then was an active part of the movement around the secession and creation of the Republic of California, becoming the first commander of the Republic of California Armed Forces (RCAF), then a member of the Executive Council (the official term in the Constitution of the Republic of California for the Cabinet analog), holding the offices of State, Defense, and Justice at different points, then elected for the New California Progressive Party in 2044, originally as a non-partisan, Independent candidate, before joining and becoming fully backed by the governing New California Progressive Party. He is running for re-election in 2048.

-Emperor Juan Carlos I of the Third Mexican Empire - Highly egotistical and flamboyant Mexican multi-billionaire businessman, Juan Carlos Antonio Isabella Santiago y Castaneda, after a failed populist Independent run for the Mexican Presidency, engineered a popular and economic coup on the newly-elected government, and then, carrying his populism (and ego) even further, declared himself "Emperor of Mexico" in the Third Iteration of a Mexican Empire (sometimes he alternates with a "Fourth Iteration," seemingly recognizing the Aztec Triple Alliance as the first).

At this point, the leaders for a Western North American Federation, Republic of Quebec, Nunavut, Utah, and a Caribbean Federation are undecided, and that is where I am currently open to suggestions.

Does any one happen to know where one can get those simple programs where you colour in world or continental maps with different colours to show alternate borders and national control for alternate and hypothetical future Earth political layouts, per se?

I know you're old school so couldn't you use the bucket tool on Microsoft Paint?

For my forum games, I use MapChart, a free easy to use website.  I think you still have to use existing borders, but you can color them as desired.

Does it allow world maps to be altered, or strictly U.S. ones?

I’ve only done US, but I believe I’ve seen world maps.  Or at least continental ones.  You could check it out, it’s free.
