What about the Anti-Masons as a what-if? They were planning to renominate Wirt, but he didn't want to be renominated (and also died), so they nominated Harrison.

It's possible, but unlikely, considering they couldn't field a replacement for Wirt. They would have made far less success than in 1832, regardless.

Update:

Now adding endorsers:

  • Alabama through Illinois (alphabetical order) done. This includes Abraham Lincoln, who is then just a lawyer, as a surrogate.

Update:

  • Setting region % and general election bonuses for the What-if National Whig party
  • Setting what-if Convention dates for the parties. This includes:
    • What if the Democrats had not had their Convention in early 1835, allowing Van Buren to be challenged.
    • What if the regional Whig parties (or the what-if National Whig party) had conventions.
    • The entire primary season is what-if.
  • Moving the General Election (default for this election) to August 1836 from Jan 1836.

So there will be primaries?

Yes, but not by default, since the primaries are "what-if"

I'm fine with that. I was actually going to try to mod them in when you released this, but I no longer have to, thanks!

Update:

  • I've weakened the what-if National Whig Party by 5% in most states. Part of the reason for the Whig hair-brained scheme of 1836 was that the party couldn't agree on a candidate, and hoped that regionally strong candidates would defeat Van Buren.

Are there any Party Logos you require that I haven't sent yet?

This election has Democrats, Northern Whigs, Massachusetts Whigs, Southern Whigs, Nullifier Whigs, and the what-if National Whigs. I can probably just use Whig logos for all the Whig factions, I think.
